If Bobby is fit enough for tonight's game would you risk it? personally I wouldn't and would rather save him for the derby, I think we're more than capable of doing Watford over without him, save him for Everton. I'd rather have him 100% for Everton over having him semi ready against Watford. Thoughts?

Play Shaqiri on the right and Salah up top. Bring Bobby on second half if we need to.

Just look at lingard. Different injuries I know, but like you say, not worth the risk. I'd like to agree with you, but Watford are in good form so it's going to be a tricky game. Us at home though, fingers crossed. With city playing without fernandinho as well, could be a very good night.

We can only hope City drop points and we gain all three stuie, fingers crossed mate. RR yes, I'd also like to see Salah up top with shaqiri on the right.

Agreed, no need to risk him. The ankle turn looked pretty horrible in slow mo. But I think the biggest issue will be how to create more from midfield and to get a half decent cross into the box. Hopefully TAA will help with the latter. Not sure about Shaq to do the former, he looked lost when he came on at United. Possibly go with Gini, Fab and Naby in the midfield 3.

Agreed 100% Salah, I don't think I'd risk Robbo either in fact.
Four changes from Sunday would make sense.
Alisson, Trent, Matip, van Dijk, Moreno
Fabinho, Henderson, Keïta,
Shaqiri, Salah, Mané.

Wouldn't have Moreno on mate. That's definitely a no no. Agree with the rest. Tonight's going to be a really big test. Hopefully we have the scoring boots back on.

I think we need to really go for it tonight, I get that we needed to up our defensive game from last season but I don't want us to play too cautiously at home and end up with another draw, we really need to be winning these games.

Alisson-A. Arnold-Matip-VanDijk-Robertson-Fabinho-Keita-Shaqiri-Firmino-Mane-Salah.

I'm not thrilled about the prospect of starting Moreno either, but Robbo hurt himself towards the end at OT and will have trips to Kazakhstan and San Marino during the international break. If Moreno's not even good enough to play the odd home game and give Robbo a wee rest then I see no point in him even being in the squad. This is the only midweek game we've got for the remainder of the season other than the CL, so if not now then when? Never! I hear you all shout. LOL.

JM, I'd also be up for giving robbo a rest but the problem is who's going to stand in for him? There's nobody good enough, ideally for me, in the summer we need somebody who can not only play comfortably at LB but also CB, kill two birds with one stone so we have some cover. Obviously it has to be somebody good, who? I have no idea all I know is Moreno just isn't good enough for our team, just like Sturridge and Origi they're the weak links who need to be replaced by decent enough players willing to play second fiddle to our first team starters. This is a hard rask.

When it comes down to signing defenders though (I know I'm going slightly off subject here) the biggest issue these days in my opinion is the lack of quality defenders. Not to mention quality available defenders. They just don't seem the same nowadays, can't defend for sh*t, granted the odd few can but it isn't often we see a good defender, that to me is concerning because it seems signing them is a gamble, it paid off with robbo, we got him dirt cheap and overall he's been good but it could've also gone in the opposite direction, look at Mendy.

If Robbo isn’t 100% then use milner and play Trent at RB

I would go for
Alisson
Trent - Fabinho - VVD - Milner/ Robbo
Gini - Hendo
Mane - Shaqiri - Keita
Salah

I know Fabinho is the better CDM but in a 4-2-3-1 Hendo and Gini will be more than enough to control the game and I’d rather not okay Matip if we can help it, Fabinho is the better passer from the back given we’ll likely have a lot of possession, and he’s got pace against the counterattack.

Could Klopp withdraw the likes of Robbo from the internationals? Not sure on the politics of it, but how much of a say do the club get?

{Ed025's Note - very little im afraid stuie..

No way, Salah. Wrap Bobbie up in cotton wool for the Sunday derby. If we play him and he does a Lingard then we are well and truly screwed.

If we can't beat Watford without Firmino, then maybe we don't deserve to win the league. I wouldn't risk him.

I don't like Salah up front, I don't think it's worked that well for either him or the team. He won't get space to run into, so he'll be back to defender, which doesn't suit him or trying to work little one-twos around a well defended penalty area to get in, which is hard for any player to do. I'd straight swap Origi in for Bobby, and if not that, put Mane through the middle instead, because I think he'll do better when shoved straight up against a defender.
