seen a lot of doom and gloom on the pages lately. remarkable considering where we are in the league. i would consider our recent form a blip, every team has one, and if you can can ensure that you are still picking up points during this period its all you can hope for.

we have sacrificed a lot of our creativity for defensive solidity this year, this was 100% the correct decision, we would not and have not been able to sustain our full throttle football for an entire season. the injuries are bad enough at the moment. we have seen it in glimpses, most recently the Bournemouth game. with the lack of creativity in midfield i think the only way to ensure you consistently pick up points is to be solid at the back, if the front three have an off day you can still nick a goal or at least keep a clean sheet. i don't blame Klopp at all for the change in stance, he deserves tremendous credit.

our opposition, the most expensively assembled squad in premier league history have dropped more points than us at this stage of the season, lost more games and so far have had the easier fixtures. how can anyone be negative at the moment? "we could have been 10 points clear" was everyone expecting us to win every game from Jan-May? it was always going to be tight. if we can head into the international break ahead of city or even level i will consider the it a massive success. everyone should calm down and enjoy the excitement of being in it, Im 22 so not used to this so its killing me but im loving being involved. we are in a better position than any other team out of any division domestically. Enjoy it lads it could be worse!

Watford is massive tomorrow and Bobby missing is a huge opportunity for somebody else. let's hope Salah continues his form against the hornets. let's get behind the team and hope we have something to show for the work that we've done this year!

{Ed025's Note - good post that ste..

I agree, a decent post but not everyone is mooting doom and gloom, we as supporters are just saying what we feel and discussing what we see on the pitch.

I know you mentioned we’ve only lost 1 game so far, but I cast your mind back to the 08/ 09 season when we finished 2nd. We only lost twice but had 11 draws, United lost 4 games that season and won the league. City have lost 4 games but are only a point behind.

We’ve got to start converting these draws into wins or else I can see a similar pattern, we’ve already drawn 6 games so far this season .

I sometimes think it’s better to have a loss then go on a winning run.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing of course but history says we can’t keep drawing matches.

Great post, OP. These are the types of posts I like to read. it touches every as[ect of our current form so far and the bigger picture is emphasized. The hope now is that we can get it going again vs Watford.

Pls if anyone is going to Anfield tmrw, sing your hearts out NO MATTER what is happening on the pitch. Our boys need to feel like we are with them and giving them all the courage to b on the front foot. If anyone is slagging them off, tell them to stop it and get behind the team. They really need us right now. Up Da Pool!

I don't get the talk around easier fixtures?

we have to play spurs and chelsea
City have to play united and spurs

Pretty even!

Cheers lads, the reason i mention easier fixtures is we have playee every big six side away. As well as wolves. But got a point ed, even your lot fully motivated will struggle to get out their own half. And that's against cardiff!

They may be the most expensive club in history but we only play them twice, that’s all, the rest are not the most expensive club in history. Everyone here says forget what city do so let’s not hear that everyone lies down against them either.
We are causing the results we are getting, go read Ed01 game review and see what’s actually happening on the field. 10 point lead has been flittered away because of us, not City and their most expensive team. Players need to lift their performances, that’s why we are in our blip.
