I know there is a bit of doom and gloom on here but I think we need to remember that whilst we probably should of pushed for the win.

If by some chance, it hasn’t been called offside or Smalling had thrown himself at that ball and we had lost 1-0 that would of been a disaster.

We need to remember that being so far behind on goal difference is a big issue and gaining a point is much better than people are suggesting!

It’s happened we move forward onwards to Anfield!

Hmm I think getting a draw isn’t bad. We have a better run of fixture and we have chelsea and tottenham at home while city has tottenham at home and united away were they can lose or draw.

On current form I thought that we would get beat yesterday so a point was a good result.

Just on watching the game United where there for the taking.

We lost our groove at the start of the year and need to find it again, just this is the trouble with the squad that we don't have good enough players to bring in for under performing players.

I think the glass half full fans will say its 1 point gained yesterday and the glass half empty fans 2 points dropped. Over the last 4 games i wonder if the half full will say its 3 points gained rather than 6 points dropped though as we have drawn 3 out of the 4. Pressure at the top. Key word being Top, as that's where we still are currently.

Definitely two points dropped in my eyes. I can understand the first half being strange due to the Saving Private Ryan scene but there's no excuse for being even worse in the second half after a team talk. The passing and general cohesion of the XI was atrocious. We've had a few opportunities to take the gifts offered to us now - City, Leicester, West Ham and now United and we've not taken it. We need to be more ruthless as these opportunities will eventually dry up.

Whilst Klopp has adapted a lot this season and should be given credit for being more versatile he's dropped the ball on a few selections or subs recently eg the conservative midfield against City, Lallana on for Keita against Leicester, Lallana starting against West Ham and the subs against United were very poor.

If Bobby is out then we need to get creative. Studge and Origi just cannot produce the intensity or smarts for a Klopp forward line. Perhaps Salah up top with Mane and Shaq supporting - though I am not sure that would hang together well. Or, perhaps we could play Gini in the false 9? He presses well, has a good set of lungs, is great with his back to goal and is physically strong. I'd feel more confident about Gini there than any of our backup forwards if I am honest. How damning is that?

Spot on OP and JK23. To me, people always want to make rushed statements to say "It is two points dropped" w/ o actually looking at the perf. itself. The way we played, there is NO WAY we would have won that game, end of story. We were NOT at it and a couple of players were just awful esp. Studge who made us play with 10 men essentially. In a game like this, passengers NEED NOT apply. The subs could have been better as well BUT that is easier to say, after the fact. Judging by that and the fact that Utd could have won had that goal been given (offside notwithstanding), things would have REALLY hit the fan.

Hence if the perf. did not merit 3 points on the day, what is THE next best thing? You take the point which like it or not, gets you standing a lone at the top. This is not a glass half-full or half-empty. This is a fact. If you can't win the game, you DAMN well should NOT lose it. Mou has won titles doing that for years so for me, that is the biggest positive while we iron out our issues cos they are there for all to see esp. in the final third. Just my opinion.
