Just read that OGS would be open to letting Ferguson do a team talk before the game Sunday.

I find that quite embarrassing if true and they seem very rattled.

I am so very pumped fpr this game. What Football is all about. biggest game in the world!

Rattled? Asking the most successful manager ever to pump up the players seems like a good idea to me. Reading the posts on here there is one one set of fans who are rattled. You thought this would be an easy game, perhaps now it won’t be.

Of course you're rattled if you have to drag out the ghosts from the past to give your team a pep talk. No faith in OGS already? Id be hugely embarrassed if i were a manager and they had to bring in one of my predecessors to do my job for me. Laughable.

I don’t think anyone REALLY thinks LFC v ManU is an easy game. I didn’t think the last one would be, at 1-1 I was worried.
They are never easy games, even if the score line is generous.
Let ManU bring whoever they want in the changing room, they’d better bring their dinner too, we don’t need anyone else to inspire the team, Klopp can do that on his own.

Oh and Bob Paisley’s 3 European cups would argue about who is the most successful manager 😛.

Exactly Like A Virgil. Ferguson is no longer Man United manager, so why would OGS feel the need to get him involved?

If you, the Manager, need someone else to come in and motivate your team against your worst rivals then you are in the wrong position I'm afraid.

{Ed002's Note - You would recommend keeping Dalglish away from the first team then? You all normally get the Kleenex out when he speaks to the team.}

I just think it's Ogs trying to be clever, saying no mind games then constantly speaking out about the game etc. Klopp doesn't strike me as someone to get distracted by these type of things. He'll get the team focused and hopefully fired up. It'll be a close game but I don't think united are as clear favorites as the media and pundits seem to be making out. just hope with all this build up the ref gets a good grip on the game early on and let's it flow, can i can see it being fiery.

Ed002, I don't recall Kenny giving any team talk before a big game before? Apart from when he was manager obviously. However, I'll take your word for it.

I would hope Klopp wouldn't need any former manager to come in and motivate his team. In my opinion, I find Klopp to be very motivational for us fans and his players through his passion alone. I can imagine this is replicated, and more, in the changing rooms.

I'd only get the Kleenex out to wipe away my tears of pride after a Klopp team talk Ed002. (Sorry for being ridiculously cheesy. )

{Ed002's Note - Dalglish has often talked with Liverpool players. Unusual to wipe away tears given given what most Liverpool fans need Kneenex for.}

OGS can bring whoever he wants to do the team talk. That is his choice. It ain't going to mean a whole lot when the players are on the pitch where the reality hits home.

I really think its irrelevant who says what before the game, if you are not motivated enough to win a game like this before hand than you shouldn't be playing. Fergie will give it loads to motivate the home team and all Klopp will need say is they need Fergie to get them going as they are scared of us and need his help. Who in cares who says what. They are professional footballers, and as the greatest coach of all time in any sport would say, just do your job. Do your job well and you will win. It's that simple.
