I pat my ketchup bottle while the cap still on, and it still works, and without having it splattering everywhere. Not sure how this can be used as a metaphor though. Help me on this. ;)

{Ed001's Note - sounds more like a euphemism.}

Shame on you Cardiff! So wrong on every level.

Ramos that is a stat that you should not be proud of. Shocking really when you think about it.
Neymar HAHA!

Neymar :D Im glad that the people who actually understands football sees what kind of footballer he is!

Morning Ed, hilarious about Neymar, it just goes to show how much he's disliked, the little turd. I'd of paid to of seen his face when he saw the votes, he wouldn't of liked that! Cheers mate, hope you have a good Monday.

{Ed001's Note - I am surprised though, I thought Brazilians loved him. Must have finally realised he is not all that. The poll was only done because some magazine or other in Brazil said Neymar was the best since Pele. Clearly no one agrees!}

Cheers. This issue between Cardiff and Nantes is utterly disrespectful and indicative to what the modern game has become. I understand with it being such a unique situation, and the money involved it was always going to result in legality issues but all parties should have made it priority to keep everything behind closed doors. Very distasteful.

{Ed001's Note - it is not really all that unique, this kind of thing happens all the time, with career-ending injuries etc. The difference is that it is usually just mostly covered by insurance and the buying club pay what is left without all this carry on. Cardiff just messed up because they are unprofessional and did not make all the arrangements themselves to ensure they would be covered.}

Hi Ed, are Cardiff not trying to sue the football agent McKay, as he admitted deliberately inflating the Sala transfer value? Either way, it's embarrassing and this type of stuff should be done in private out of respect.

{Ed001's Note - it is one of the things they are looking into. It is disgusting. You agreed a deal, things go wrong through no one's fault, tough you just have to get on with it. What they should be doing is looking into why the club itself did not organise everything involved. They messed up and now they are trying to wheedle out of a legally agreed deal because of it.}

I meant it was unique in terms of death, treating the situation with a bit of respect and behind closed doors. Injuries wouldn't be as sensitive an issue.

I thought Cardiff did provide him option of public flight but Willie Mackey refused. I actually believe Cardiff are within their rights to hold off. Interim report should be due in a few days and that could prove easily that someone needs to be held accountable,! It should be kept behind closed doors but if Cardiff feel he was put on an unsafe plane being flown by an unlicensed pilot in rough weather i think they deserve to at least hear the report.

i was surprised to hear about fodens comments. Firstly he's barely got a look in all season so his contribution has been fairly limited. secondly city actually havant won anything yet this season. maybe if they had won a cup and were in a couple of finals they would have a great chance but there is a long way to go and could still end the season with nothing other than a comeback against newport to show for it.

anyone who says neymar is the best since pele has clearly never seen R9. and that man didn't even reach his potential surely with all that injuries and partying.

So pleased by that survey result - Neymar doesn’t deserved to be ranked anywhere near the likes of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho or Rivaldo etc.

Any player that ‘feels pain more than others’ to justify play acting to get others booked or sent off deserves less than zero respect.

They despicable Neil Warnock and the detestable Willie McKay appear to have, ahem, a ‘special relationship’. There are numerous examples in the public domain - you just have to Google their names together - but just consider this one. In December 2017, Leeds United terminated the contracts of twin 21 year old brothers Jack and Paul McKay ‘by mutual consent’. They had made 1 senior appearance for Leeds between them. In January 2018 they were both signed by Cardiff City on two and a half year deals. Neither has made a senior appearance for Cardiff and Jack is currently on loan to Chesterfield in the National League and Paul is on loan to Morecambe in League Two. You all know, of course, that Warnock is the manager of Cardiff but did I mention that the twins’ father is Willie McKay? Still think that Cardiff will sue McKay for his behavior in the Emiliano Sala transfer?

{Ed001's Note - they do have a special relationship but this is not about Colin mate. This is over his head.}

Cardiff - very distasteful.

Ramos - should have been the 50th or 100th red card he received in his career.

Top 10 players in Brazil's history - not only did this poll backfire on Neymar (if it was ever to glorify him) but it gave me hope that the people in Brazil do know who their premium players are. but i also suppose a significant number of the pollsters are older and have seen or at least heard about some of these legends.

On a slightly different note, so many great Brazilian teams filled with great players have won much more than Neymar has (and he's not some poor sod who happened to be born in an era where Brazil has a lack of quality) . So there really is not reason to name him as one of the greats. If he was truly as special as some claims (and Neymar himself probably believes), then go on and do a Maradona. Win something single handedly and perhaps a conversation about his greatness can be discussed.

Exactly ed this is strictly business at this stage and it's clear already from Cardiffs actions and public statements over the last couple of weeks that they're going to push all the blame on mackay. What I also found odd wasn't it the same day they located the plane that Nantes demanded payment, maybe coincidence but they might have been fearing the found wreckage giving Cardiff a case against them. Its a messy situation.

{Ed001's Note - it was because Cardiff were meant to make an initial payment immediately but never did, so they sent the reminder that it was overdue.}

{Ed001's Note - I personally would not have had Rivaldo up so high.}

19.) 18 Feb 2019

I'm assuming the Brazilian poll refers to players who are not Pele's contemporaries, and strictly after his retirement, otherwise there's be easily 5-6 players from that 1970 team that deserve a place in the top 10. But I am surprised that Junior, the left back / midfielder from the 80's is not on that list. Far more deserving than a Bebeto or Careca on that list.
