LFC have arrived at there training camp today ( marbella football centre) weather lousy no sun. Gini and milner staying in single rooms due to illness no training session for them today keeping them away from squad, also Fabinho stayed in hotel all day he has a slight niggle. Lovren never travelled getting treatment for Hamstring at Melwood.

Watching Man Utd versus PSG major injuries for Utd Martial (Groin) and Lingard (Hamstring) left the field during the first half with above injuries, getting worse for utd two goals down and Pogba just had a red card. Interestingly i wrote a post over the weekend that i would man mark Pogba, PSG have done that tonight and Pogba was non-existent Marquinhos had him in his pocket all night it niggles him he likes freedom deny him and it bugs him mentally that's his weakness, physically superb mentally weak?

OP, If it's a hamstring then Lingard could be out of the OT game. Pity. I would have liked to have him eat his words (with a side of super hot sauce) for guaranteed a Utd win a while back.

Also, I would not say to man mark Pogba per se. That kind of thing no longer works anymore cos players are now required to do more and participate more in games instead of back in the day where you could follow a player around all game. I will say that we should make sure a body is put on him wherever he is on the pitch cos he does not like having someone on top of him as Emre Can used to bully him every time we played them.

Sorry to disagree Redwolf but it kind of does/ did work tonight though. Whether our natural game allows for us to do something we wouldn't normally do so is another matter. Be wary of a Utd backlash and as the old saying goes form goes out the window, quietly confident tho, let's give the Germans a game to remember first then utd.

Who is this 007 character? S/ he speaks a lot of sense. Could be some kind of secret agent? Keep it up - you know your stuff.

Wait what? The players are on holiday. again? Why? I swear every time they make these unnecessary trips to countries where the conditions are vastly different to our own, it never works out. Yet we persist with it. I’m interested to see how we come back now especially since we got Bayern and United next.

Was meant to write that on the 'Ruben Dias' profile Ed, bed head mode is engaged I think!

{Ed001's Note - I am so confused now!}

just curious 007, do you think we should man mark him as well and if so with whom? I can't recall if Klopp has utilized that strategy or not.

Agreed 007, I remember your post in Pogba and very true. If he doesn’t have workhorse next to him or has pressure on him he crumbles. Only interested in the game when he has the ball and doesn’t give two hoots when he doesn’t.

I was thinking about your pogba man mark comment last night 007. Great call as it worked out. I hope we can take some positive ideas from the game last night to use at Old Trafford.
