Knocked the City game off after 25 minutes.
It looks like we're going to have to go to Old Trafford and win if we want that league title.
Those dropped points at West Ham and Leicester, aggghhh.

Chelsea are truly embarrassing themselves. Turned it off after the 3rd goal. Why would you head it back in to your box?

{Ed025's Note - and we actually got money for him mate..

Is there a Chelsea equivalent of Arsenal tv. If so it's going to be very entertaining.

Ed025, you all laughed all of the way to the bank on that sale didn’t you? . Barkley is embarrassingly bad. A good bit of business by Everton.

{Ed025's Note - a great bit i would say stone mate..

Har_red92 yes there are 12 games left but playing like this City will not loose any of them so we are now in a fight like we have not been in a generation. Which means we cannot loose either, we need to be word perfect between now and the end of the season, ugly wins will do fine starting at Old Traffird. City can win every game they play 7-0, won't mean a thing if we win all ours 1-0.

10 Feb 2019 17:26:23
Doesn’t matter what city do as long as we keep winning.

That's true city are a great team and they'll be the favourite going into each game but it's 12 separate fixtures, form today doesn't mean they're guaranteed form straight through to may. A lot of football left to play, let's not presume they have every game won already because it's highly unlikely that they will go 3 months without dropping points.

Nobody thought they’d lose any of the four they already lost this season. Give me a break on handing them the league already. When Chelsea throw the towel in, they just don't care, this is more of a red herring against terrible opponents than a City demolition job, despite the score line. Chelsea got beat 4-0 by Bournemouth a couple of games ago so i’m definitely not reading much into this. Even if the media circus will. Keep your heads people!

Redinthewrongway, good post - I agree with you 100%. As you point out Bournemouth beat Chelsea 4-0 a couple of weeks ago and look what we did to Bournemouth yesterday. The media sheep will follow each other and proclaim Liverpool champions or City champions depending on which of us has just won a match. The clown of a Sky commentator said at one point in the City v Chelsea game “Liverpool were very good yesterday but City are playing at a level above them today”. No they weren’t, City were playing against a gutless rabble who appear to have thrown their hand in.

Nice one red.
To put it into perspective, prior to losing to Newcastle, City had beaten Southampton, Liverpool, Wolves and Huddersfield scoring 11 goals and conceding 2. Pretty good form wouldn’t you say? Yet Newcastle still beat them.
Furthermore, before losing 2-0 to Chelsea in December they had won 7 on the bounce scoring 24 goals and conceding 4. Again, pretty good form right? Yet Chelsea still beat them and then they went on to lose 2 of the next 3 after that.
My point is, regardless of how they played today they can still lose games and drop points. The Premier League is tough and as you get to the business end teams are scrapping for their lives.
Don’t let the media tell you City are unbeatable, they are not. In fact this season they are easier to beat than we are. There will be loads more twists and turns yet just keep the faith and let’s help push the boys over the line.

Kimuraking. th, Pep disagrees with you. He said after the Everton game that he expects City to lose points this season so there goes your argument. we heard all that dross before about how City would walk the PL and go undefeated and then, Palace, Leicester, Chelsea and of course Newcastle happened. If you want to believe in all that stuff even tho that rhetoric has been proven wrong 4 times over then have at it.

We are STILL in a very good position and frankly, I don't care what Chelsea do or don't do. They have had some dreadful games this season so playing with such a wretched attitude vs City, will only get you beat and they did. It is ALL up to us and ALWAYS has been. LET'S GO!

Cheers guys, It’s obvious that people will get carried away by a result like that against the champions from only two years ago, but they are most definitely not the same team, with the same ethos. They crumble when there’s nothing to play for and have been like that for a long time. All it takes is a plan, quality and some drive to take advantage.

We were fantastic yesterday, even if Bournemouth were the perfect team at the perfect time and just to top it off, the Anfield crowd was booming. They (you all) took the reigns and guided them on, just when nerves needed throwing to the back of the room. This race is most definitely not over, even if everyone on the outside wants to suggest it is.

Red Lorry, the race NEVER over to begin with. It is the doom and gloomers who keep doing our heads in with their mindless, OTT comments that have NO basis in reality.

agree with some who pointed it out.

1) the title race is far from over, us, City and Spurs all have a chance.

2) City actually did not play that well against Chelsea, their defence were still panicky when Hazard had a go at them. but if you are defending like Chelsea did, then there is no other result other than a hiding. if anything, Chelsea made City look like the best team in history with the way they were not defending.

3) the Utd game is as meaningful as 3 pts in the context of a title race. we can hammer them and go on to lose 5 games and not claim the title. or we could lose and go on to win the next 11 and still end up with the title. big game no doubt, but the title doesn't rest on it alone. all the other 37 games do matter.

4) as Ed025 called it, utd's defence is still crap. no doubt their attacking play is really good now, but i trust us to hold our own against them and have our front 3 hurt them.

5) i think we should just get use to a title race. for too long we've been irrelevant at this stage in the season, so we don't really have much to feel about. now we are on the cusp of something amazing, there will be a roller coaster of emotions but we should really revel in it because, would you rather this or being irrelevant?

{Ed0333's Note -

1) I suppose they do but I think Liverpool will win the title.
2) Chelsea are devoid of any confidence and as Ed’s 001 alluded to its more than a formation problem
3) True dat
4) I’m not sure their defense is ‘crap’
5) I hear ya mate I’ve known millions of league campaigns were weve lost the title by November but you still keep watching you’re team knowing it’s a meaningless game in the general scheme of things. But you’re right it’s seems like now we’ll be in the mix of some competition for the next few seasons. All hail Norbert.

you are right Ed0333. Utd's defence isn't crap. just DDG alone makes it good. but i believe there are weaknesses in there that we can expose.
