Too many of us (my self included) have been guilty of looking too far into the future and either saying we’ve already won or we’ve blown the title. The Premier League is too competitive and can throw up a surprise results at any point, for example Citeh losing to Newcastle, Palace and Leicester. So we need to take our eyes off the long term fixture lists and saying things like “if we win at Old Trafford we’ll win the league”. We can only look at one fixture at a time. Today we have Bournemouth at home and a great chance at 3 points. Let’s take a mindful approach to our season guys and ‘be in th moment’ 😉.

The 78th comment of this kind this week.
I agree with everything you’ve said, but look for the reasons why beyond just what people are saying.
The fans are nervous because we’ve had significant recent history of falling at the final hurdle. Added to that is the fact that we spurned not one but two great opportunities to extend our league lead and all of a sudden we are back in a high-pressure situation again. The long history takes its toll.

The people who are predicting City are going to win the league now are no more in the wrong than the people who have been saying we were guaranteed to win the league a few weeks ago whilst saying we would smash Leicester and West Ham. It’s only opinions and like a**e holes everyone has one. I still very much think we can win the league but I also enjoy reading the less positive posts. Imagine how boring it would be if everyone shared the same opinion on here and agreed on everything. It wouldn’t be a banter site then it would be a cult.

Lowel, my point is that we’re nowhere near the ‘final hurdle’ yet. So we shouldn’t make rash calls either way (positive or negative) .
