Why do teams roll over for city it is very frustrating that if anyone has a proper go at them they have a chance and also how was fernandinho not booked earlier joke.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think everton rolled over brian!!!..

Sorry rolled over was a tiny bit harsh. Its just annoying that teams don't really go at them if ye lose by 1 why not have a proper go and lose by 2.

{Ed025's Note - that was us having a good go at them brian..

But come on fernandinho how does he get away with it.

{Ed025's Note - its beyond me mate..

Chelsea will roll over and get their belly tickled too. Season is over as far as I’m concerned.

{Ed025's Note - its a hectic time for city FMS with them being in 4 competitions, they will tire...to what extent is anybodys guess though mate..

Really Frankly? We still have a game in hand. You’re being a baby mate. I reckon you’d be happier if we were down in 8th with no pressure and you could have a good old moan.

Everton played to their level Ed. Tried hard but lacked the quality in the final third. I am pleased they gave them a relatively hard game. In the summer a centre forward must be a priority for Everton.

I think after a weeks rest Chelsea will take some points off them with Hazard the best player on the pitch.

{Ed025's Note - we did give them a decent game mark, we gave it our best but sometimes your best is just not enough mate..

I just don’t see that we either have the quality to win the champions league or the premier league, we’ve looked devoid of any ideas and like a side that have run out of steam.

Chin up Ed25. Definately positives to take from that game. Silva needs time and backing. These things don't happen over night. We are a great example of that. Hopefully a few shrewd signings in the summer and you'll be right up there.

Seasons over? Ah come on. We’re second, level on points with a game in hand. If I’d have been told that in August that we’d be in this position in February, I’d have taken that all day long. Keep the faith. A lot of football to be played yet.

Faith is fairly worthless. I prefer to deal with reality, which is that we’re playing poorly with no sign of improving while City have got back into top form and clawed back the lead we had, we still have difficult games against Chelsea and United and you can guarantee that Everton will give us more of a game than they did City. And looking at how we have been playing there is absolutely no sign it’s going to get better any time soon.

Bet when we turn up at goodison Everton are well and truly up for it and they will b on us like a pack of hungry hyena's . More too play for beating or stopping the redmen. At the end of the day our squad is just nowhere near as strong as man city our starting 11 is a match but there bench is packed with ability.

Jeez frankly you must be a riot at parties, nothing is over until both teams have played 38 games. Don’t understand how people can be so pessimistic about our chances, form is temporary class is permanent. And in my opinion we have a very good side, get past Bournemouth on Saturday hopefully then Get some players back and let’s try blitz the final games!

Fernandinho is a good player but he should never finish any game. He commits 4 or 5 professional fouls every game and gets away with it because he falls into the player he has fouled to make it look like a coming together. Referees are getting the piss taken out of them by him every game. The main point is that City know they can attack on numbers because Fernandinho will foul to break up the game if they lose the ball. That’s why they lose when he’s not playing.

Frankly, are you trying to outdo NegativeWalter as the most negative poster on here? I won't even refer to your posts cos you sound like you prefer to wallow in your own self-pity, hoping for the worst early on so if it happens, you will be able to deal with it. Good on you, man. The rest of us will go another path.

Ed25, I give your boys credit, man. They gave them a real go and had they had some confidence and quality to match the workrate, they could have got something from the game. As for City, was it just me or were they a full bag of nerves tonight? They were super disjointed, lacked any sense of urgency esp. in the 2nd half (where they created next to nothing) and if ref. Paulson had been arsed to do his job, Fernandinho SHOULD have been sent off with 25 mins left. All in all, they won BUT they looked jaded, tired and petrified. This is going to go down to the wire, boys so strap on your seatbelts.

{Ed025's Note - its not very often they head to the corner flag with 17 minutes to go redwolf, maybe they are feeling the pressure a bit mate..

FMS - do we have as much quality as Leicester had when they won the league?

I think we have enough.

A strange argument Ron, since no one had anywhere near the quality city now do when Leicester won the league either. If they did, Leicester would never have won.

Well I think it’s a strange argument to believe that the squad with the most quality always wins.
Example - Leicester. Their squad/ team was light years behind City that year, but they won it due to other factors coming in to play.

Got to give it to Everton. After a nervy first 20 minutes, they were a real threat to equalize, maybe even more, in the second half. You could clearly see them grow in confidence as the game went along. That game should have been a draw but ended up otherwise. it's football.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think we deserved a draw ArAy, we battled well and gave our all but city were a class above mate..

Ed025. sorry but i have to disagree with you. on paper, City is a class above, but in that game, i didn't see their quality come through. i thought it was the defensive frailties for the 1st goal and just poor play at the back while the team is pushing for an equaliser for the 2nd. i actually did think that Everton might pull a 1-1 at the death (not for the sake of Liverpool), but because you really did give them a game and City was nothing special in this match.

{Ed025's Note - they created 16 chances to our 4 sg and although i thought we done well and battled they do have that extra quality mate, what i will say is they looked a bit twitchy at the end there and were killing time, they are feeling the pressure as well im sure..
