hard one to take the draw with Leicester as we could have opened up a 7-point gap. nonetheless, i didn't think we did as poorly as some over here suggested.

On the match:
i thought it was a game of 2 halves for us. we were dominant and created quite a few chances in the first half and probably should have scored to put the game beyond doubt. Mane had a free header off target and the Maguire incident, Firmino had a shot saved, Shaqiri just missed the ball on 2 occasions otherwise he would have been through on goal.

it was a very poor goal to concede no doubt - a needless foul, not clearly the set piece, not holding the line well, etc.

i actually was expecting us to come out of the blocks, just like against Palace, in the 2nd half, but it wasnt too be and we looked labored. and i'm guessing we remembered the emotions of the 2nd half and said we played crap entirely, which isn't true.

On Hendo at RB:
i actually thought he did very well. was solid defensively and offered something going forward. not too sure why is he getting slated.

On the substitutions:
felt that aside from Fabinho, the other 2 had no impact on the game. Lallana is great to bring on if you are holding on to a lead, but to chase a game, he's very ineffective. while i understand throwing on Sturridge might get you a goal (see vs Chelsea earlier this season), but i thought not having Firmino made us even more predictable. Would have rather Firmino to stay on to try and create something and perhaps Origi on to square with against their big CBs.

On the ref:
I've nothing good to say. He missed a clear penalty and did not add on more time even though he just carded a Leicester player for time wasting. I'm sure the Leicester fans also have their grips about him. he was poor for both sides.

On the fans in the stadium:
easy for me to say as i sit miles away in front of a computer screen to watch tha game, but i thought the crowd grew impatient and nervous too quickly. it was only the 60th min and they were already groaning and moaning. credit to some section of the fans that actually took charge and started cheering the team on. just as the team is inexperienced in winning the league, i think we as fans too. on a day when we should have cheered the players on, we transmitted our nervous energy to them. i hope we do better to lift the team and not stifle the team.

On the title race:
it was never going to be easy, but we are 5 points clear. I'll take that all day long and trust that we'll bounce back from this.

Shows just how high our performances and expectations have been this year that we need to bounce back from a draw :)

Yeh, I thought hendo played well, all things considered. Same old bullplop mate. If his surname was Hernández he'd be copping praise for his versatility.

I think it's a positive result. We extend our lead on city and city now look beatable, unlike last season.

@Red7 or if he had been a darling of the media since his youth that praise will flow his way regardless of performances. come to think of it, i've heard players like Barkley, Tripper, Joe Hart getting more praise in one season than Hendo for this whole career put together, and that's insane as none of them are even close to his level.

@Robbinesline totally. Any team, and i really mean any team that tries have a chance at beating City. Meanwhile, we continue to pick up wins and draws even when we're not at our best. Sure, once or twice this season we'll pay for it (as we did against Leicester, City), but i rather be in our position than City's. Meanwhile, Tottenham remains inconsistent, beat anyone on their day, come back from the dead when they look down and out, but they'll go on to lose to teams you least expect on their off days. All things considered, i still believe we are the most consistent team and its our title to lose.

Agreed sgynwa, spurs are f####ed without Harry kane. I'm not worried about them at all. I've just taken loris out of my fantasy football team and added kepa.

I have vvd salah and Firmino, so I can't pick alisson.

City are rocked. An absolutely brilliant team, but they don't like being 2nd. While we are steady and calm and totally formidable.

We need salah to pick up and we need Keita to step up. Play his game, beat two defenders and score, rather than turning and passing it back to gini. It's a confidence thing. He needs a run. He should start every game now. Take out shaq, who is a brilliant impact sub.

Gini Keita fabhino. That would be my three. Then we have milner, Henderson, lallana and shaqiri to rotate and use as tactical subs.
