Of course playing first introduces a different dynamic to the ensuing game.
If Newcastle were to win tonight are you saying everyone, including the players, wouldn’t feel a huge boost?
You still have to win your own game but there’s no doubt playing second can produce more pressure and tension. Equally it can also encourage an attacking mindset, you know what you have to do.
But having the games on different days definitely skews the picture slightly.
