Who would be your dream signing to compliment our current crop. Money no problem, just who would supplement our team.

For me it's pipco, I miss him and that type of player is the only thing we're missing. He knows the city and the club and many of the boys. His kids are scousers. So he whinged a bit to get his Barcelona move but so did vvd, mane and many others to come to our club. Keita is another.

He is not the type of player we are missing. There is a reason we improved following his sale.

Ngolo Kante for me. He would be perfect in our midfield.

Pavard, a decent CB who can cover RB. Exactly what we currently need and could rotate with Gomez and TAA.

It would have to be KDB for me.

For me it would have to be Dybala. He offers so much in so many positions. He would definitely improve our squad and starting 11 for me.

We didn't get better because pipco left, we got better because we signed mo salah, aoc and Andy Robertson and got even better when we signed vvd.

How can selling one of the best players in the world make you worse?

I know, I know, we used to just give him the ball and when he left the midfield gelled together better, as they had to. More of a unit. But we gave him the ball for a reason. And remember, pipco left in January, not summer. He was awesome with salah, mane and Firmino (the fab four)

But I remember everyone biting their nails when Barcelona came hunting.

We could do with another wc cb but I think gomez will become wc so I wouldn't want to sign another cb when we have lovs and matip as cover.

We could do with a better back up left back and maybe a rb, allowing trent more opportunities further up the pitch. But that's hardly a dream signing.

The type of players we could possibly be missing is someone who can play all across the top and also just behind. Hence our serious interest in fekir. A target man but I think Firmino is irreplaceable. Maybe someone to offer serious competition for him.

So it's an attacking midfielder who can play on the wings and even as a forward. There are not many better than Philip coutinio.

If he had never played for us, we would be drooling if a deal was agreed.

Wan Bissaka or Saul Niguez.

You're talking as if things happen in a vacuum. Absolutely nothing happens in a vacuum. It's not just about the 90 minutes spent on the field in a professional match once or twice a week. Nobody doubts his skills and the benefits he provided to the club. He was the main man and pulled us out of many hairy situations. But many of us have not forgotten that we were the club willing to take a chance on him when his career was floundering and the club deserved far more than the drama he provided for the last 6 months of his stay.

His career had stalled before LFC, and it seems it has stalled once again after LFC. One can easily argue he was in the perfect place at the perfect time when with us, but he wanted out and the club moved on, too. So best to let it be. I agree fully that an offensive midfielder for the left side is needed (I'm not convinced at all by Keita below Mane) but I don't believe it should be Coutinho.

Dream signing, money no object? Lionel Messi. 😎.

It's Mbappe for me. He could play in place of any of our front three or as well as them in a 4-2-3-1. I just don't see anyone with the same quality and with as much longevity due to his age.

He's a waste a PSG where they're just battering 80% of the teams. He'd really shine in a league where he has to perform to the best of his ability every game.

Attacking options of Firmino, Salah, Mane, Mbappe and Shaqiri would be the best of any team in the world.

I'm not just saying Mbappe because he's young and a brilliant player. I think he'd compliment that we already have and can play in any of the positions.

I know. but you did say if money wasn't an objective.

Great shout for Mbappé truly an outstanding talent of the highest level. I'd be more than happy if it was Mbappé over Dybala.

OP, Kante without a doubt. he is 3 players in one and makes teams not just better BUT into champions. Ask Leicester, Chelsea and France.

On another note OP, how would Cou be a dream signing to "compliment" our team? I mean, wasn't he here when this team was being built? How can he compliment us as a dream signing when he already jumped ship? Just curious, that's all.

Our starting line up doesn’t have too many faults, so it is hard to choose, but for me it has to be Mbappe. The most talented player for his age since Messi 10 years ago. Has a truly frightening level of potential.

For me i would go with a midfielder. Kante, kdb or david silva im not fussy! Ha.

From the Premier League - Marcus Rashford.

Yeah, to be honest Mbappe is the only real choice I'd consider if money was no object. Sure Messi is better, but he's also 12 years older.

Mbappe everyday. I'm not even sure it's a debate, he's that good 😂 my next choice would've been Varane, followed by Kante in 3rd.

Mbappe definitely. That kid is phenomenal.
Wan Bissaka will be a close second though, cos Trent isn't exactly a RB.
