Bertrand for me would be the perfect replacement for Moreno. Also helps home grown quota.

Think he's a first team player rather than a LB backup, not 1st team for us but Bertrand would be an upgrade at LB for most prem sides I think where he could play every week.

Bertrand is not good enough. we need someone to compete with robbo. I would like us to push for Chilwell.

Chilwell won't come to sit on the bench. In midfield you can rotate but Robertson will play nearly all prem and CL games if fit. Chilwell might only get 15 games. Also he would cost Â£40m and we need the money for other areas,

Never been impressed by chilwell. Definitely not for 40 mil.

Chilwell is a poorer defender than Robbo (who is still improving this aspect in his game) and a poorer attacker than Robo. Most importantly, Robbo's attitude and mentality is top class. Not sure Chilwell has that. Either way, he won't come here to sit on the bench in fav. of someone who IMO, is superior to him and not for 40m. That is a fee for a starter, not a back up. Chilwell is going to go where he can play every week. That ain't happening if Robbo is still here. The same applies to Bertrand who I think, is no longer the LB he used to be.

I think chilwell could do with a move to a top 6 club, but he would not come to play back up to robertson. At his age, Bertrand just might. And yes he is more than good enough to play back up for us.

we won't get him but Chilwell is a couple of years younger than Robertson and operating at a higher level than Robertson was 2 years ago. He could be on a par in 2-3 years.

before we signed Robertson 3 quarters of this site had their 2 cents rant about ' robertson isn't good enuff and never will be' ( as has also been said of Gini and Ox to name a few)

Believe it or not but the manager tends to now better than all of us.
