I was wondering I'm the Ed's could help me I remember someone mention Trent moving to midfield and with the possibility of Milner and lallana moving on it seems plausible but would we then pursue 2 right full backs or would someone be promoted ie. ki Jana hoever

I am intrigued to see how the squad is shaped next summer as i think their is still room for improvement

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - it is not likely to be that immediate or permanent a shift, but a right back would be bought, as Gomez is seen as a centre back and that would mean no specialist right-back in the squad other than a kid such as Camacho (who is still learning the position) or Hoever (who is also not really a right-back).}

Is it really looking like milly will leave in the summer? I know the Leeds possible promotion is a big issue but James has always said he came to Liverpool to win silverware. If we win the league will that make it more likely he will leave? Having fulfilled his LFC ambition, or will he want to play another season as Premier league champion?

So does us winning it make it more likely he will leave or not? He is 32 but has easily 3 more years in the prem, probably more. There will be time for him to go back to Leeds.

I've gone on a bit. My original question to those in the know; is there serious talk of milner leaving in the summer. His ability is certainly not in question.

{Ed001's Note - he wants to return to Leeds, so if they come up there is a very real possibility of him moving.}

If he leaves I will be gutted but will wish him nothing but happiness and success at Leeds. Love the guy, has been asked to play lb despite being one of the best players in the squad. Will be sad to see him go and selfishy, I hope Leeds get promoted next season and not this one.

Either way, his relatively short anfield career has made him a legend. His champions league performances last year were phenomenal. Model Pro and genuine nice guy. A real role model to young players who should look up to him more than Paul (the other one) pogba.

If Milner leaves (preferably with a PL winners medal) then I will wish him well and thank him for services rendered cos he has served this club selflessly throughout his tenure here. Here's to hoping.

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that mate..

And if he does move on Ed do you think we have enough Midfielders with out bringing another one in? I personally think we do.

{Ed001's Note - it depends on how the ones we already have are utilised.}

Ed do you think Grujic could take Milners place in the squad? seems to be excelling in Germany and already knows Klopps methods.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know, I haven't seen him since he went to Germany but he never impressed before then.}

He is apparently doing well there so could get his chance pre season. However I don’t see both Grujic and Fabinho in same team.

Apparently the Brazilian right back we were linked to Emerson is signing for Real Betis.

I thought Milner came for first team football. Can’t see winning trophies being a motivating factor for leaving Man City.

Hertha Berlin have been raving about him for what it's worth. Maybe he's grown up a bit. We shall see.

Spot on, Hessle. I watched a bit of the Hertha Berlin v Schalke game today and Grujic did a nice back heel flick to keep the play going. I then heard the commentator, say that the Hertha manager is crazy about Grujic. He quoted the manager as saying that Grujic is the best player he has ever had under his tutelage. For what it's worth, I think he has some talent. Now whether that talent is good enuff to make the grade at the current LFC team, is unknown at this point in his career.
