If taa is out for a few weeks, I wouldn’t rush Gomez back. Milner can play right back and Fabinho did just fine Saturday. If Gini has a knock, we still have Keita hendo and Shaqiri to play in the middle. Might say it’s a little attacking, but with the CL looming and vvd out for that, I don’t think we should risk Gomez.
Anyone else think Gomez and Fabinho might be our second best centre half pairing?

You are completely forgetting Matip who is fit.

Matip? he is a defender. VVD and Matip are our second best shot. Since VVD is out of our first game against bayern it should be Gomez and Matip.
