Sorry Ed001, i sent the previous post by mistake before I completed it.

Do you think that Klopp changing his tactics where its more about game management and playing slightly more deeper in our own half that requires our CMs to be more conservative does not fit into Keita's profile as a midfielder for LFC?
Klopp has tried playing him on the left where he looks lost, he is not creative enough when chasing a game either so where is Keita's place in LFC's midfield? Gini, Fab and Hendo are shoe ins for the deeper midfield roles while Shaq and OX are better suited for the creative midfield roles. It leaves Keita in between a hard place and a rock. He looks more like BUVac signing with each passing game.

{Ed001's Note - he will be fine, he is adaptable and will find his place in the squad.}

All of this has come about because he had one bad game at Wolves. He’s a new player to a new league and he’s had several injuries. A month ago away at Burnley he was our best player. There is no patience with players anymore.

Agreed Smeg. Personally I don't think we'll see Keita at his best until next season and that's fine, some players can't adapt as quickly as others, it happens, they're only human. He's a quality player and already being wrote off by some people (not saying you IB) but in general quite a lot of people have wrote him off as a failure. As smeg says, no patience anymore, give the lad time.

Spot on, Smeg and Salah. This is just a storm in a tea cup, really. Keita did not play well at Wolves and so did a BUNCH of others so what is the big deal. He is a new player of proven quality coming from a top league in Germany. We all know this so why are people (not you OP) so miffed about a new player still trying to find his feet in his first season in a new team, a new league and a new country? Clearly that has never happened to any foreign player in football history, right?

Also had Keita not shown glimpses of his immense talent, then I would understand. We all saw him boss the midfield vs WH, boss the whole Burnley game by himself at times and was very good vs Spurs at Wembley where they had NO answer for him. Please, let the guy develop at his own pace and leave the impatience to one side. This is what fans did to Fab as well early on and now look at him. Keita is top quality and will be fine. Up Da Pool!

He’s struggling for form at the moment and Shaqiri is playing out of his skin to keep him out. If Shaqiri or someone else goes through a rough patch I’m sure he’ll be the one taking their place. We started the season in a 4-3-3 which suited Keita more than fabs at the time. Now it’s 4-2-3-1 and fabs is flourishing and it doesn’t suit Keita currently. Both players need time to adapt to new systems, languages and team mates. I have no doubt that if someone was to get injured, Naby would come in and do a great job until the end of the season and beyond. Once he gets into the side consistently, I bet he’ll be bloody hard to displace!

I am his biggest fan but I was definitely expecting better by this stage. He can play everywhere in midfield I have seen him excel as the holding midfield, box to box and wide in a front 3. He is lacking confidence and he is playing within himself. Goals, assists, tackles this is his game and we are not getting any.

In Germany there was never a game he didn't but in a debatable challenge he was always in the heart of the action. I can't even remember him putting in a tackle for Liverpool. It's like everyone was worried about his nasty streak and the coaches have gone too far and have him playing with the shakles on. I still hope he plays today and can express himself more.
