John Aldridge talked about Klopp clearing "deadwoods" in the team. Isn't that kind of rude. Even if the player knows he's a deadwood (like Moreno that he mentioned by name), I don't think he'll like to be called that.
On the other hand, he also talked indirectly about Origi and Sturridge and the need for 2 more forward players.
With Harry Wilson coming back (I expect him to get game time next season. He's 21, he may as well start playing), I think we need just one more forward next season.

He’s just a mouth on a stick.

It is a bit rude but I'm sure Moreno has heard himself being called much worse than that in his Liverpool career.
I too would be happy with one forward in the summer and to welcome Wilson into the squad next season.

After morenos showing against Wolves, deadwood is highly complimentary if ya ask me.

Deadwood is a terrible term and not fair at all. But you look at the contract situations of some of our players, and the lack of quality of others, and it looks like an exodus is going to be a realistic occurrence in the summer.

I'm looking at Mignolet, Grabara, Clyne, Randall, Moreno, Lallana, Milner, Allan, Ejaria, Markovic, Kent, Sturridge, Origi, and Awoniyi in particular. I'm not sure any of those will be Liverpool players at the start of next season.

I thought Grabara was held in quite high regard?

It seems as though Kelleher is now more highly rated than Grabara. Doesn't mean he'll leave but I wouldn't put money on him staying.

Moreno I'm sure has had opportunities to move on with limited game time and further his career and play a lot of games. But he has chose not to and to stick it out at Liverpool knowing he's not getting a game. Not the first and won't be the last. Happy to take the £, no ambition.

{Ed001's Note - like what opportunity?}

Other players say they would like to leave to get game time. I can't believe he's not been close to a move. Milner played I his position for a season, that's got to frustrating enough to force a move.

{Ed001's Note - and Moreno has said he would like to leave for game time. There is no interest because he is overpaid and we are asking too much.}

Fair play ed01 I stand corrected.

{Ed001's Note - the problem is the interest is from Spain and, in particular, Sevilla, who do not have the money to make a deal.}

Is this why the German teams are looking at English youth because there's no money compared to our league in the European leagues?

{Ed001's Note - it is more because English clubs do not give them as much first team football as German clubs do. Though that is partly down to the money differential, as they can't buy 45 squad players and so have to look to develop youth players.}

In your opinion ed do think there will ever be a meaningful cap on overseas players? This would maybe help players like Moreno not waste their careers sitting on the bench. Cheers ed.

{Ed002's Note - the PL is stuck between success, which has happened and sense which says you have a mass of youngsters, use them. Everyone - including the clubs - want the youngsters - but not at the expense of the success.}

6 months ago I would have argued a case for both sturridge and lallana. But after watching Danny against wolves, be made zero effort. Didn't make runs, didn't look to recieve the ball, I don't remember him going up for a header let alone winning one.

Then you look back at the Chelsea game where he was all over gbe place wanting the ball and he smashed home a worldie. I can honestly see that being his last goal for us (has he scored since then? )

2 years ago if you had talked about selling lallana I would have laughed and called you crazy. But he has done nothing since coming back from injury. Nothing. No assists (might be 1) but now I understand why his anfield future is in doubt. He just hasn't done enough. It's a shame coz he was playing really well before his awful injury and in the 18 months he was out, the team has changed. Been on a ucl run to the final together.
And he is getting on, he's not going to get quicker. But maybe we need a few old heads in this title pushing team.

I wouldn't sell dither of them until the summer. We need to get rid of sturridge and origi, bring through brewster and buy a forward. And we can look forward to Duncan joining the team. I believe he might be the next fowler, the next Owen. Honest. And I think that's why klopp got shot of origi.

Robbiesline, I believe that was Studges first start since the Carabou cup and Lallana hasn't started back to back games in God knows how long. It may be that they move on next season but Klopp seems to have the up most respect for both of them and in Lallana's case I think he has an important part to play in what hopefully is our march to the title.

As soon as you use the word, "Deadwood", you should automatically lose whatever argument you are having. That label is despicable and clearly, Aldo should know better BUT he doesn't. He should go wash his mouth out with soap first before he comes and discusses which players should leave or stay at LFC.
