So we now have 5 games in 6 weeks with a couple of weekends free due to FA cup. City will have 9 games in same time period as will spurs.

We will also have ten days to prepare before bayern-united-bayern fixtures.

I'm sure Klopp will be relishing it (although im sure he would have preferred being in the FA cup)

Hearing a warm weather training my also be planned.

Whats incredibly important is winning our next game against brighton and getting the momentum back.

Brighton is crucial! With one fit cb and after a bad week or two we have to keep a four point gap. Going from 7 to 1 or 2 in a fortnight would give city a huge boost and us a mental beating. Brighton is where we get back to business!

If Brighton feel confident to have a go it could be a 4-3 to LFC, I actually think they do not have the bottle for this and Brighton will be cagey and look to hit us from set pieces.

It will probably be like the reverse fixture at Anfield, although brighton has been very decent at home this season.

Don't worry about Brighton, we'll anihalate them. 4-0 would be my guess. People are forgetting we lost norrowly to a very good City team, it happens against such opponents. We then lost to Wolves with all of them changes, is there any wonder why we lost? On Saturday we'll be back to our best and Brighton will pay for our recent results. The league run will once again continue.

We've had it that good we're spoilt, that's half of why there's so much paranoid at the moment, we're still laughing so sit back and enjoy it.

Chris Hughton will have Brighton VERY well prepared, don’t underestimate him 🤝.

Gotta love salah's confidence. Though you have to try and analyse the opposition. Yeah we have to believe and have the confidence you have shown. It always make me feel more confident, so thank you.

But, Brighton away is no push over. They have a vefy good manager. But we will have the front three together and a solid midfield. Van dijke will have whatever defenders we have playing yhem in order. Robbo and trent are back in. Lovren may be fit by then, it didn't look too back. Fab did okay apart from one tackle which I don't blame him for trying, he had to stop him, if the full backs had been there they would hsvr given jiminez problems, allowing the rest of the team hi get back and crowd jiminez and nick the ball off his toe.

If we are going to win the title it was always going to come down to how we respond to losing. City was the first league defeat if we can go on another 10 game winning run I may have salahs confidence too :-P.

I am not as confident as Salah but the fact is from teams outside the top 6 we haven't dropped a point yet, if we can pick that form back up we should be ok.
we have lost to our closest challengers and lost in the cup with our b team. I'm definitely not fearing a collapse just yet.

Also, people are acting like if we lose another game that's it, city are four behind and are unlikely to win the next 17. let's see where we end up after each game and concentrate on ourselves. Although I wouldn't be surprised if wolves got a result at the Etihad on Monday.

If at the start of the season we had the chance to go into January out of both FA and Carbao cup but top of the league by 4 points and still in the CL, the whole of this site would have snapped it up, and look where we are, be positive boys we are in a better position than anyone would have imagined and playing some decent stuff. enjoy the ride while we are on it :-)

That sucks tbh that we have only 5 games in 6 weeks. I want to see my team play twice a week!

I'm amazed that some people think other fans are happy because we are out of both Carabao and FA Cups, simply because we are 4 points ahead. What is 4 points? One defeat and one draw, and that's very much in the realm of the current mood and momentum. If ManC win both of those 2 games, and then we'll be back to where we were 2 weeks ago, behind them. And the well known chorus will start. Out of the Carabao, out of the FA Cup, not going to win the League; Klopp out!

I'm always positive, but I can't be ecstatic about being dumped out of two competitions and holding on to a meager lead in the League. You'll know what I mean if this turns out (and continues) to be our "blip" for the season, just like ManC went through one.

Brighton should be the focus. We need to get the confidence back if we're going to win the league and anything less than a win will be demoralizing.

I'm with salah on this one. We will sash Brighton. Unlucky against city, everyone saying they were excellent. no they wasn't. We had enough chances and for the last 5 or 10 mind they were parking the bus. An Kompany should of gone too. As for the FA cup, wolves were as bad as us with a 1st team out and mignolet should of done better for both goals. We are 4 points clear for a reason. we deserve to be.

{Ed025's Note - its a good job your not biased magico.. :)

I don’t get why we’ve had a bad couple of weeks? We lost a game away at City that we actually could’ve won.
Forget the FA Cup game if Klopp had wanted to win that we would’ve done.
I agree Brighton is vital but then so was Newcastle, Wolves and every game before that.
Just calm down lads.

We pretty much controlled the wolves game but it was by passing it to the cb's while they knocked it around, moving the wolves defence about but we didn't dominate the game in their half. I don't think wolves were poor, it think our fbs were poor. Wolves played some amazing counter attack football. I've said it before but it reminded me of us last year

If the full backs had been where they should have been, then jiminez's attack would have fizzled out. Migs wasn't great but its not fair to blame him for the first goal. I would have scored that.
