At the risk of sounding like a troll, Do others really feel this here we go again vibe. I really hoped to be sitting clear in the league, which hasn't happened. i didn't really expect us to win the FA cup in all honesty but we went out on a very low. But i have this feeling that a bad and rough patch is around the corner. Luckily we have two home games left in JAN and next one away to brighton which is kind of an easy fixture. we should win all three. Also city has easy fixtures in Jan. But then in Feb they face arsenal and chelsea back to back before their CL round while we have hammers away and bournemouth. So we really have a big chance to get ahead in Feb if we win all games in Jan first. Dunno why i Have this eerie feeling with us in JAN. the games though are relatively easy so i think team has enough to win those.

PS - we have 3 games in JAN, while city have 6 - 3 epl - 2 - EFL 1- FA. now its true city are ahead of us as they are still in all competitions but we got only the league to play for and of course CL but extra games means more work for the city bench which i don't really think is that quality.
Thoughts? anybody else got a eerie feeling?

I have an eerie feeling this is our year. The amount of bubbles burst on here after ONE league loss is ridiculous. So we’re not going to win the treble after putting a b-side out against Wolves. Big deal.
Keep the faith, there's a lot more still to come from LFC this season.

No not me. We lost the other night by fielding a weaker team against a team that aren't actually that bad.

We only just lost to city who everyone keeps saying are one of the best teams in Europe. I think klopp went into the game too negative, the Times when we actually went at city we nearly produced a goal. If we had gone at them properly I believe things would have been different.

We need to concentrate in the next game, get the win and settle any nerves again.

Lets' just hope that the two losses to Man City and Wolves was our bad patch. Cannot afford to drop performances like that any more if we want to win the league.

I always expected City to win the league so to be 4 points clear at this stage is massively surprising to me. Having said that now we are out of the FA Cup we have a great chance to win the league. We supporters need to have the courage to believe we can win the league and not doubt the team because we have an eerie feeling, we are on course to get over 100 points this season, why would you doubt this team?

Its not just one game, although one game is all it might matter at the end of season. Its just been a LFC fan for so many years i haven't seen such a dominant team, and it just feels new. SO when we lost i had a feeling the team is a confidence team, some shoulders really dropped in that wolves game. something that is not expected from the top of the table team. I would have loved the next game to be at anfield to just get back on track. But we have a tricky brighton trip in between. Just saying moods would lift a lot if we beat them which i think we should.

Absolutely agree with the op. It's all doom and gloom that will see us finish second.
If this is the case I can see klopp being replaced too.

Replaced with who? Brendan Rogers?

Congrats to Mo Salah - African player of the year again 👏

This season has the potential to be different. We have the potential to win something IF we are lucky with injuries/ suspensions.

If we lose Alisson, Van Dijk, Robbo or Bobby then we are in big trouble. If they play all our remaining games then we might win something 🤝.

I'd add Salah as well to that list Ron. He is our top scorer and Shaqiri is no Salah replacement coz he plays better in a midfield 3 than out wide.

We need Gomez back, and we need to go on a winning run.

The key to any success will be keeping VVD, Alisson, Robbo and Salah fit.

My concern is left back, Whilst he’s a great guy around the dressing rooom, Moreno clearly showed ( against Wolves) why we need to strengthen in this area.

I think we’ll win the league. I think the key to it is Allison staying fit. Shame about the fa cup but you can see klopp has made the league his main focus this year. It’s not a bad thing. I’m getting tired of the “klopp has to win something this year”. Not on this site, fans can say what they want, but in the media where every “pundit” bleats the same drivel. We are competing for the biggest titles at the moment and I am enjoying the ride. Champions league final last season, 4 points clear in the league this season? We are progressing at a time when football has never been more competitive.

I think eerie feelings come with the territory of being a liverpool fan. At least until "Liverpool FC" is etched onto a trophy.

Think old negative is expecting arsenal to still come through and win the league by 10 clear points
Up the pool.

Have to agree with smeg here, I always expected city to be the top dogs so for us to be 1st at this stage of the season is brilliant. I got a feeling this is our year!

Well the feeling will definitely end if we win at Brighton :) and then against palace and Leicester. That Leicester game could be tasty.

Think people need to calm down and relax. City still have games ahead of them that they will drop points for example this weekened we have Brighton they have Wolves who is saying that they won't go out there and drop the points and we win then everyone will calm down yes it can happen the other way around but to be talked about as potential champions is massive for the Club. Win Lose Or Draw we will bounce back and even if its not our season it will come.

A few weeks ago it was City who were feeling like this after 3 defeats in 4 league games.
We have lost 1 game away to the champions and most expensively assembled premier league team and manager in history.
The Wolves game doesn’t count it was less than a B team and will have no affect on the rest of the season.
I think you all need to get a grip we are just fine.

{Ed025's Note - you have to get away from the money thing bobby, you are saying that city are only a good side because of the money they have spent...thats not exactly true mate and liverpool have hardly been shy in the market themselves..

City have a great squad but I would hardly say it's full galaticos like Madrid or Barcelona sides of the past. Pep has got them well drilled, and there's no doubt he's the best that what he does. A little like fergies last title winning side, once he left they fell apart. The had some bang average players in that side but he good get a tune out of them. We are in great position to progress again which is all we can ask for. Klopps done this before in the German league, I'm more more than happy with are continual improvement. Fingers crossed it brings a title.

I couldn’t give a toss what City have spent I was merely stating that there’s no shame in losing to City away they have spent a lot of money to be the best team in Europe and they probably are.
I don’t see how it constitutes a crisis or a blip. It’s just ridiculous.
