Well lads - it looks like there will be extensive changes tonight which indicates a lack of real interest in progressing in the FA Cup.

I for one though will be very interested to see some of our younger players to see what we have coming through the system.

Be very interested to see who plays as centre backs.

I was actually just going to post something very similar. I'm actually quite excited to see how the team we put out plays, see how some of the youngsters do. Really hope we can pull off a win though.

Don't think it necessarily indicates our lack of interest in progressing in the cup. I imagine we will see see a mixed team of fringe players and a bit of youth, But Klopp will set the team up to win the match on the night.

If we're playing a weaker team I'd love to see some of the youngsters given a go.

It'll be a mixed team. I expect something along the lines of -
Mignolet; Camacho, Lovren, Hoever, Moreno; Fabinho, Keita, Jones; Origi, Sturridge, Shaqiri.

I'd be happy with that MK. Would like to see Curtis Jones involved.

Same Jordz. Though in hindsight, I think Lallana will start.

Maybe in place of Origi who looks Fulham bound.

Yes will be interesting to see if Origi starts he'd be cup tied wouldn't he if he played? Though guess that may not matter if Fulham are in for him as they are already out of the competition.

Be a shame for a young lad like Curtis Jones who has been training with the first team for a number of months to not a get a chance tonight from the start. Will see tho.

Lets not go into the game with a negative spin, we would love to win the FA cup, some people think a cup run hinders our league chances. I disagree, our squad is big enough to cope and as we have not won anything other than the league cup since last winning the FA cup in 2006 any trophy would be great. I also feel losing damages confidence and winning is a good habit to have.

I agree Tjury. People talk as if our players are all mullered. December is busy but it's only football. The lads probably lose more energy in training than they do in games. People are talking like vvd and alisson are near dead!

Personally, I wouldn't have migs anywhere near the team. We should have kept ward and sold migs. We would be better off playing one of our reserve keepers, one of the youngsters. At least or would give them some experience. Simon is absolutely s@#t, sorry to say it. I hate to knock our own players. Penalties Is all he is any good at and without a strong cb (vvd) we will concede. just like we did in near every game last season. Can you remember? We had go be 3 0 up before we could relax and even then it was worrying. We just collapsed, every time. Turned over by Burnley at anfield.

Wolves knocked us out not long ago and were nowhere near as strong as they are now. I think we should take this seriously. We want to win after losing. We need to get back to winning ways. If we lose people will start saying we are in a blip and are there for the taking. The pressure will build and it could have a negative effect on the team.

I would play the spine, or at least VVD and Alisson. Fabhino and salah. Give sturridge a run out, I reckon he will score early.

If we put out a load of youngsters, juoe moutinio and jiminez will rip them apart. I'm not knocking the youngsters but we need silverware. This is wolves' only shot at a trophy and its a trophy we could, without doubt, win.

Ed01 if you could answer is nat phillips still with the club or is he injured at the moment surely he would be a choice if we needed to rotate the cbs?

I would prefer to see VVD next to the young 16 year old then Lovren

I think it'll end up being

Migs
Camacho Hoever VVD Moreno
Keita Fabinho Milner
Shaq Sturridge Mane.

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware he is fit and healthy and at the club, but, if he is a loan possibility they may not want him to become cup-tied.}

Robbiesline - Klopp has already confirmed that Mignolet is going to start.

I also hope we can get the balance right between giving the youngsters a chance and ensuring we have enough on the pitch to see us through to the next round.
Klopp will believe that the whatever team he selects can win but unfortunately it is always a bit of a lottery when you rest your starters. We've seen it paying off but have also seen it ending in disaster.
I hope we can get the result with as little anxiety as possible.
It would be good to get back to winning ways quickly.

It's madness epic. Klopp is too nice, giving players playing time just to keep them happy and selling talent so they can get a game. I love klopp but just the name MIGS! It's so worrying, especially if van dijke is rested. Moreno is admirable but rash, I can see him giving away a penalty tonight.

The fact is, we want to win, we need to win. This isn't the carraboo Cup. This is the FA Cup, you don't play your reserves against Premier league opposition in this cup. Alisson has been brilliant and I don't know why he is rested? He plays in goal, can't be knackered.

Oh well. Wolves will be full out. If they beat us they will believe they can win the Cup.

I think we'll lose. Lovren will give away a free kick on the edge of the area and it'll be slotted in. Moreno will give away a penalty. Sturridge will score and then wolves will hang on for a 2 1 win.

{Ed025's Note - mystic robbie.. :)

I’m not sure we’ll see as many youngsters as everyone seems to think

We can comfortably play Origi Sturridge and Shaqiri upfront and play Hendo (who hasn’t played a ton of games yet), Keita and Lallana in midfield without weakening the team too much (but giving valuable game time to a few notable others keep our squad sharp) . Defence is the big question. I think if he’s named Moreno and Migs, we won’t put too many juniors in alongside them. I’m betting it’s a back 4 of Moreno, VVD, Fabinho and Milner. Migs in goal.

Klopp won’t want to lose this one after City.

I’m disappointed in Mignolet starting to be honest. I think the team will be something like.

Mignolet.

Hoping we try a back four of Camacho, Van Dijk, Hoever, Moreno.

Lallana, Keita, Fabino Shaqiri.

Sturridge and Origi.

{Ed025's Note - i think hoever and thingamejig might be on the bench jonesy.. :)

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I really wish we would take this competition more seriously. I would better understand if we were playing a lower division team, but this team selection against a premier league side is a bit strange to me. We should try to win any and every trophy we can. Just an opinion.

A bit harsh Kloppers. Lovren is a good player on his day, it's OK putting youngsters on before him which I'm all for bare in mind but once they have a bad game it's game over because fans suddenly turn against the player, the youngsters need to be gradually put in and can't be thrown into the deep end, not in this league with this team. It'll either work for them or it won't but we have to be realistic mate.

Not a bad team to be fair, two youngsters starting and possibly some on bench may get some time as well.

Mystic Robbie: can you give me 5 numbers between 1 and 50 followed by 2 numbers between 1 and 12 by tomorrow afternoon please 👍.
