Aloha everyone! Match day! can't wait for it. looking forward to a good game.

While we are at it, just wanted to hear from various ones, which was the most complete performance you've ever seen a Liverpool team (past and present) dish out? A that we were utterly dominant, faultless and played the opponent off the park because of how good we were.

{Ed001's Note - 5-0 v Nottingham Forest. Never saw it at the time, but I got a video one birthday of the game and we destroyed them.}

Agree with Ed001. At the time Forest were 2nd in the league and FA cup semi finalists, so our biggest competition that season. Sir Tom Finney said it was the finest exhibition of football he had seen (Or something like that) . The shame of it was that the game wasn't televised so until the season review came out on video, the only people to witness it were the 40 odd thousand in Anfield.

That entire season was unbelievable.
QPR home - Barnes, Coventry away when about 10,000 reds landed en masse and Barnes and Beardsley showed us what was in store, Newcastle away - Nicol hat trick, Arsenal home, Everton home. the list goes on.
Honestly everyone was singing about winning the league by November.
Our kid always talks about the Molby double v Utd, I missed the game, don’t know what the * I was doing lol.

Beating Madrid 4-0 with Torres scoring first. Or maybe beating Porto last season.

7-0 against Spurs in 1978 with Terry Mac's header. still my favourite Anfield goal. If you haven't seen it, get on you tube.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, I used to get them every year. I remember the 9-0 win over Palace me ma had to send away for the video and I watched that game until the tape wore out.}

Liverpool 9 Crystal Palace 0 1989. They used to use it as the video/ game for up and coming coaches to learn from at St Georges Park.

What a performance.

the 5-0 over Forest and 7-0 over Spurs were all before my time though I've seen it on video now.

Really amazing performances. It wasnt that Forest was bad that they lost 5-0, they actually played a pretty good game. But they were totally battered by a superior team on that day.

The Terry Mac goal was crazy, the game was already done with by then, yet he charged up the field on a counter to put that in after the cross from Heighway. Have heard many a Spurs fan say the best thing they heard that day was the final whistle.

4-0 against Real Madrid under Rafa or the 3-0 against Man City last season.

MK. i remembered the 4-0 against RM. couldn't believe what I was seeing.

3-0 against City last season was amazing too. Genuinely believe that if Salah was on for the whole game, it might have been 5-0 by the end of the night.

On another note, i just watched our goal against City in the recent game (i rarely watch any highlights after a loss as it pains me too much) and my word, from back to front, wing to wing, we really made City look ordinary.

Or, in recent times; the 7 0 win over Watford last season. I think it was 7 0, Wolves may have got one or two? But it was an amazing performance. Our new striker, Salah, blowing us away when some of us even doubted the signing.

I haven't seen us as in control of games as we have been this season. Not for a long, long time.

Also, smashing Porto 5 0 last season. Completely battered them. The fab four, and then the three musketeers.

I wouldn't mind it if pipco came back. I can imagine Barcelona being a collection of big egos, rather than a team of 20 players, all backing each other up. His family are scousers, I bet they want to come home. We used to just give him the ball but now I think we have a much much stronger team and he could easily fit in. We need a midfielder who can score, regularly. Milly gets the odd penalty and gini sometimes turns up at the edge of the box.

I'd love to see Keita getting a good run in the team. He has goals in him, no doubt.
