Hey Ed's. Just wondering do you have any thought on Warnock and his rant.

I seem to remember him claiming to have missed out on deals when a loan move for Grujic fell through.

I understand why he may have missed a full back but surely its poor on his own part if he misses out on a striker as he claims.

{Ed002's Note - Not really but there was no real reason to put it out in the public domain. I can't account for the player changing his mind but Liverpool at least made some sort of non-binding agreement and it was at the very least disrespectful to Cardiff - but Liverpool are not a club known for their honour or respect. Jay Spearing has recently told his story - which you all already knew. I would like to see Liverpool improve the way they deal with such matters as these. It would do them nothing but good. Interesting also to see a report of a Liverpool player being tapped up by a direct approach from a coach of another club. So they have indeed themselves suffered in that way. I would not get too carried away with any of this.}

I’m quite pleased that Colin has missed out on Clyne.
Colin hates Liverpool and the feeling is mutual 😄.

I have no idea what’s gone on, but if Clyne changed his mind, how can that be our fault! I guess don’t make the agreement in principle, but maybe at the time it was the only offer.
Maybe if we can keep them sweet, we can offload some more players there for decent fees! Seem we buy from the south coast and then sell back there!

Probably he just changed his mind. Between the Cherries and Cardiff, I know which one I would choose.

Forgive me ed002, which report is this and which Liverpool player has allegedly been tapped up?

{Ed002's Note - Sahin was tapped up.}

This time last year, after Liverpool finally signed VVD, there was a discussion on Sky Sports about the whole VVD transfer saga. Graeme Souness stated emphatically “Let’s be clear. There never has been and there never will be a top level transfer that doesn’t involve tapping up. It happens all the time in every big transfer. ” Just reporting what a former top player and manager said.

{Ed001's Note - it's not true any more.}

WW, None of what Souness is saying, is true. Tapping up is a serious issue and LFC have created a reputation for doing just that over the years and it predates Klopp BUT even Klopp had been doing it. Souness may just be using that response to give LFC cover in the media BUT it is still false and tapping up is still wrong and needs to stop.
