Hi all

Ed001 I would like to hear your views on this.

Given how players don't seem to be capable of playing as many games as the old days and how little prize money the FA and Caraboa Cup money is, do you feel we have more to lose by playing a full strength team in the FA cup? Whilst we are in need of a trophy this is a big debate as the prize money for FA cup winners is not much more than £2mil.

{Ed001's Note - and how much money in TV appearances? Plus how much for the exposure of winning it for a club like Liverpool in the most shown cup competition in the world?}

Prize money is irrelevant. Well maybe not to the owners but we haven't won the fa cup since 2006. I want to go all the way this year regardless of the league position we find ourselves in thankfully. I think we have a strong enough squad to go for the league, fa cup and champions league. None have priority over the other. Let's embrace the challenge of going for all three instead of saying let's bail out of this trophy and focus on the league. Nothing is guaranteed.

{Ed0333's Note - Klopp himself has said in the press conference that there will inevitably be changes. Some of those heroes need a rest December has been brutal. The most interesting changes will come in the back line as I’m expecting Robbo and VVD to be rested so Moreno, lovren Milner and Fab or will he go with youth and throw a Camacho or a Hoewer in the mix? Will be fascinating.

I am sound with that, hopefully we will see Curtis Jones, maybe even bobby Duncan it's nice too see some of the youngsters perform on a higher level see what level they are up too. This is a good opportunity too rest players and too b honest we need that as ed said too b were we are in the league the players should be saluted, then we go again, sorry ed I know this would of been asked a million times but what do u think chances of new faces especially in defence and at a push up front .

Ed033. I'm expecting changes mate cause as you have said December has been brutal fixture wise. We have a big and strong enough squad to beat wolves. My team would be

Mignolet
Camacho
Lovern
Masterson
Moreno
Henderson
Fabinho
Keita (if fit)
Shaqiri
Sturridge
Origi.

{Ed0333's Note - I didn’t realize Conor was fit mate, yes would throw him in at center back. You’re team looks plenty pretty on paper I would not argue with that at all. Shame we can’t shoot Lovren though...I mean rest him 🤣

MoSalah

The FA Cup is mega important to me personally, and I hope we play at least a 80% full strength on Monday night, we have a week to recover and train and the next prem fixture is 5 days away after that.

Who doesn’t want a day out at Wembley in May?

We will all be crying when this pan European nonsense kicks in and and all tradition has gone.

We should go for it 100%.

Lol. Lovren is SO frustrating! Has everything needed to be one of the best. It is the mental side though, that he is lacking. Switches off.

I think if we field a team as weak as the one suggested IR89, wolves will beat us. They are a cute little team with intelligent and experienced players. We need to field a strong side. Not our very best but I would not rest VVD.

Our defence was awful before van dijke and robbo. I think we can afford to rest robbo. Milner didn't play much in December, he could play there or alby of course.

I think sturridge is a good shout and I would rest either mane or salah but not both.

I'll go Keita, hendo and fab for our midfield but I wouldn't be surprised to see lallana start.

That is my frustration wth Lovs myself, Robbie. In terms of ability, there is nothing he lacks cos when at his best, he is one of the best CB's in the game and has proven it. The thing is what is between his ears. He is simply unable to compartmentalize as in, unable to pull himself back up when he makes a mistake. Making a mistake during a game is not the issue. It is how you rise from it that matters. That said, Lovs can make a mistake in a game and even tho he plays a blinder the rest of the way, he will STILL get smoked for making the mistake. It seems he is damned either way.

As for the lineup. VVD and Robbo need a rest. Now who plays next to Lov (if he plays) is another issue as we only have 2 fit senior CB's. We have enough to rotate in midfield and attack. Defence is where the issue is as we are lacking bodies over there. We shall see.

{Ed025's Note - i have to confess brover...once i got to the "one of the best CB,s in the game" part i stopped reading....lay off the drugs my man..

while money is important, shouldn't the club and players be aiming to win as many trophies as they can? if we don't retain such ambitions, we would one day then be perpetually contended as long as we are in the top 4 and had a recent run in the CL?

i believe Liverpool was built for success and that means treating every major trophy as important and going for it. we are after all not in some made up competition like the Nations League.
