Wow! So yeah we lost yesterday but I am so proud of the lads!

Why? Because aside from the fact that with a bit more luck we could have come away with a result last night, just look at our Christmas run in.

Before the 11th December we were 2 or 3 points behind City with by far the harder run in.

Fast forward to January 4th having played Napoli (not relevant for league but still great result), Man Utd, Wolves, Newcastle, Arsenal and Man City and not only have we only lost once, but we won all the others, are now 4 points clear! By the way all of this in just 23 days so another reason for the players putting in a shift last night in our hardest game of the season.

Simply put would rather have City's record since December 23rd or ours?

Time for calm and bouncing back yes. Time to stand and be proud of our players? Absolutely! YNWA.

Nice one Jimjam782, We are not the Best team in Europe or the World but we have a decent team who are Top of the league and who play very exciting football for us, we have a manager who is trying so much to win the things we all want, players are only human and make mistakes but let's hope they learn from them and bounce back on another fantastic unbeaten run .
Please get behind the team we all have negative opinions at times but we are Liverpool Fans so Please Support them . YNWA.

Good positive post jumjam 👍🏼
If some one said top of the league by 4 pts and through the group stages of the CL at the start of January I’d of bit their hand off!

Great post, OP. Red Tag, I disagree that we are a decent team. We are a CRACKING team, make no bones about it. Did you see the game last night? That was like two heavyweights going at it and City won via split decision and nothing more, overall. Both teams showed that they are by far, the two best teams in the PL and two of the very best in Europe and the other PL teams are so far behind, it is not even funny anymore.

Now, City may have shaded the game last night BUT they got the type of breaks we have been getting of late this season. I mean, the Origi winner vs Everton looms large right now and so does Allison's save in the same game. To me, this was just a bump in the road and NOBODY with any ounce of intelligence believed we would go undefeated and if we are to lose our first game in 21, I'd rather it be vs City than say Leicester, Palace or Chelsea, all the teams City lost to. Let us know who we are and celebrate it while being humble and hard-working and focused in every game going forward. Up Da Pool!

Not the end of the world.

When I looked at the fixtures I was hoping we would be 2 points behind city going into this game to stand any chance.

Not quite how it turned out so. was always a big bonus.

Fergie mastered big loses and we got to do the same.

City got 3 tough games in the next 5 I think.

We got to win all our 5 before going to old Trafford. that's how you deflate them, ecactly how fergie did it.

I remember beating united, gaining 3 points and before you knew it they were an extra 5 points ahead as we were complacent. They got angry.

What's happens next determines champions. Not a single loss.

All to play for.
