A game of this magnitude and Lovren does what he does ever so often. One mistake is all it took and Mane wasted his golden chance.

Trent was a greater liability IMO. He was appalling. I don't think I've seen him play a more terrible game. I would've chucked him out at the end of the first half if I was the coach. Outside his pass to Robertson for the goal, he did nothing. Probably forgot that he was a defender.
And Kompany should definitely have gotten a red card. It was a lunge, with both feet off the ground and his studs very much out. If Salah hadn't jumped over that, he would be out for months. The referee had a clear view of it. Disappointing.

{Ed0333's Note - I actually thought the ref got the komapany decision correct. I’m not TAA’s biggest fan I really do think we should be looking for another right back, for me TAA is not consistent enough to merit a place in the team.

Agreed, Lovren far too inconsistent and invites unnecessary additional pressure with his big man speeches and a lack of quality to back it up.

TAA and Lovs did not have their best games today cos it seemed that they kept losing their opposite numbers and only found them after they had gotten the ball in dangerous areas. They were not switched on today and it showed. I agree with Ed0333 that we should look for a RB in the summer to help TAA.

Either way, this game hinged on fine margins (11mm really) and at this level, you need some of that to break for you in such an even game and it did not. None too fussed about that cos we got a HUGE break vs Everton when Origi scored the winner. We are top with 4 points over City and that is all that matters. It is still up to Us and City are nOT in control of a damn thing. WE ARE. On to Wolves!

Lovren is very consistent.

Every 4-5 games he drops a clanger.

I don’t think it was a red, an orange probably! I did not like Trent today, he seems to overplay the passes, always 20 yards plus and not into feet. Under pressure we needed a little more composure.
