Eds - on the past LFC have been rightly criticised for the way its been run. Just wondering what your opinion is on how professional it is now? Does it still have a long way to go, would you say its on the right path, what still needs to be addressed to see it being respected for the way its run?

{Ed002's Note - I really would not go there.}

I believe the general consensus was that we are being run far better now than we were previously but we are far from perfect. Situations like the VVD signing impacted our reputation etc but we are in a much better place than we were 5 years ago! Putting a few trophies behind us will also make the owners expenditure seem more worthwhile but we have spent a lot more than people realise.

I think the owners have thrown an awful lot of money into the club but we are miles away from being most well run club. I mean i could see all this tumbling down if don't win anything of credit for next two three seasons. If i read correctly last season was after a long time club made some profit, i thing we are on the right path though to being ideally run.

1) The number are getting better (we are in profits)
2) They made the right call to get the best manager at a time we were really poor
3) They are giving him time to build with no pressure of sacking.
4) They made the money available for Klopp to get the players he wanted (2 world record fees)
5) Added capacity to the stadium and may still add more.
6) We are on the verge of getting best kit deal

Obviously there hasn't been a trophy yet and I'm sure there are a few negatives as well but looks well run to me. let's not forget the mess the previous owners left us in.

Sustained success, proper behavior when attaining players, a supportive youth system, and careful expenditure is what would merit a well run club in my opinion and I’m not sure we ar even close to being there yet. I’m also of the opinion that things have improved since Peter Moore came in.

{Ed025's Note - proper behavior is a matter of conjecture aoe..

I’d say we’re on right track but as always there’s much more to be done. On the plus side we have a manager players want to play for and who is capable of embracing and leveraging the emotional energy of the club whilst simultaneously freeing the players from the burden of history. We also have had a few very successful recruitment windows thanks to Gordon, Edwards and Klopp working together more cohesively. I can only put this down to Gordon and Edwards learning from previous errors.

The sponsorship deals still look a bit average but we’ll have to give Peter Moore a chance to change that.

The stadium has improved without affecting the atmosphere. There’s still a bit more to be done there.

Reading between the lines here I get the feeling that Henry, Gordon, Edwards and Klopp are not well liked across Europe for various reasons. Whether this is a problem really depends on where football is heading and whether the club is losing opportunities. Clearly recruitment is big business and there’s a whole level of brinkmanship that we fans do not see. In other industries Americans and Europeans do business and negotiations quite differently. Perhaps that is part of the issue.
