I just want to assess peoples feelings on potential comings and goings during the transfer window. Do we need anyone? Will new players disrupt the team dynamics? Who should / needs to leave?

We've had tentative links with Pulisic and Thorgan Hazard (unlikely to happen now, if at all, imho) whilst Moreno seems to be kicking up a fuss about wanting to play, being disrespected by Klopp, and wanting to return to Spain.

Thoughts?

Need the right player with the right attitude and personality who is joining a team know what ever position it is you don't walk into this team

And if klopp thinks you fit the bill let him work away.

I think we need to look at our fullback situation and see what needs to be done there for the bench. I'm not too concerned about Moreno; there's always a fuss or noises made to the press when contracts are coming to an end. A replacement for Lallana if he is sold, unless Wilson is brought back from loan to slot into his place and and only if. And if Solanke or Origi are being moved on then a replacement for whoever is leaving. If Pulisic is bought then i really think it's an indication that the club expects one of Mane or Salah to move on in the summer.

I had completely forgotten about the transfer window. We have such a good team, I don't see where we need to strengthen. A decent lcb to cover if, god forbid, vvd gets injured. Moreno maybe but then we would need a new back up lb. Sort that out in the summer. Moreno may be rash but he knows the system, knows the club and does have some attacking quality. If we go in for a fekir type player we will be hampering shaqiri and Keita. Not to mention the ox when he returns. Also Adam lallana has put in some decent performances recently, I don't see why we need a new acm.

That said, if a world class attacking player becomes available. Why not?

Op we are not likely to buy anyone in January I’m afraid and nothing in here from any of the Ed’s has suggested otherwise.

{Ed0333's Note - I hope we sell Lalana thus promoting Curtis Jones. Also I hope we buy Fekir, yes I said it. I want Nabil Fekir playing for Liverpool in January. I know nothings broke so nothing needs fixing but I’m not quite sure how a player of that ilk can negatively affect the dynamic of the team.

At the same time I'd be content if we kept our hands in our purses and kept faith with what we have.

I just think, if we're likely to sell a few midfielders in the summer (which we are) and if Fekir is available now (as it appears he is) then why not get the deal done now (even if he arrives in the summer? ) - while we're approaching the biggest second half to a season in years surely the Coutinho replacement Klopp wanted would (hopefully) gives us that final push?!
Obviously the worry is that any signing could be disruptive to the flow of the team but imagine how big a statement that'd be to our challengers.
Maybe Klopp isn't interested him anymore and maybe I'm wishful thinking!

As mentioned, I'd be more than happy with no signings but Fekir (and Pulisic) are available then they'd be the two that I'd go for IF they're available now.

{Ed0333's Note - Fekir’s contract is up in 2020 and I doubt he’ll sign another one at Lyon so I’m sure as you say hes available. I’m also pretty sure that the Fekir ship has sailed for us and as I mentioned a few days ago it wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up at Chelsea (it’s just a hunch I have no knowledge of where Fekir will be going). I really hope I’m wrong and Klopp unveils him leaning next Tuesday. I’m pretty certain Pulisic won’t come anywhere near us either while Salah plays for us and again I think that particular player will go elsewhere.

I thimk another player to compete with the attackong 3 would be good. Assuming that origi goes of course.

And then don't really see the need to bring in anyone else in Jan unless we get multiple season ending injuries in the same position.

Studge gives the front three some competition and has showed he has something to offer. Yeah I expect to see more outs if anything. That said, things are going so well I wouldn't want to change it.
