If it’s a 3 horse race I’m putting money on Spurs coming 4th, just ask Leicester fans 😉😂.

Don't underestimate Guardiola. He's no wilting daisy that's going to lie down. It's still only a two horse race in my opinion. This Poch to Man United noise is going to unsettle the team.

Spurs are no closer than they were before today or the game before that or the game before that.
Beat Arsenal and City and the league title is ours.

51 points from 19 games, we’re on target to beat City’s points total from last season.

Yes we’ve been THAT good.

Job is only half done, but what we have produced doc far has been astonishing 👏.

The way a see is, in my opinion a think city will drop at least another 6 points in second half of the season that will mean Liverpool would have to drop 13 points in the second half of the season which in all honesty I cannot see. The title is coming to anfield a cannot see a different outcome.

One game at a time lads. We play Arsenal and City in the next week. If we lose both of them (which is not inconceivable) and Spurs/ City win their two games, all of a sudden we could be reeled right back in.

We haven't earned the right to be so arrogant. It's been nearly 3 decades.

26 Dec 2018 23:38:37
Spot on, MK. We are now in a new 19-games season. Whatever happened in the first 19 games needs to be put away in the memory bank and we all need to move on from it. 1 horse or 10 horse races means nothing. Whatever Pep or Poch or whoever does is irrelevant to me. We take care of our business and NOTHING else will matter. Right now, the "business" is the next game vs Arsenal and we need to focus on that and NOTHING more, IMO.

Mk a don't see anybody been arrogant as you so called put it! It's called been realistic are city capable of winning every game yes will they NO the same goes for spurs.
Is it likely we will drop 13 points or more NO there for posters have every right to be confident as that what it is not arrogant as you put it lad.
Ad of thought better of you lad am not best at English but a still no the difference between confidance and arrogance surely you must do aswell!

Nail on Head there MK.

We have too much history to be so arrogant. let's wait until the maths say so.

27 Dec 2018 00:15:23
Spot on MK. This talk of a title is ridiculous and In a weeks time we could have egg on our faces. One game at a time. For me, and where we have got ourselves, champions league becomes second in importance. If players need resting when the next round comes along then they need to be rested. Same with fa cup. Instanbul was an amazing night that I’ll never forget, but id rather see us win the league for the first time in my life.

11.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 00:27:43
It's been a wobble from City which we've capitalised on. Nothing more. Arsenal will be a major test, hopefully we can do them at home.

12.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 00:40:47
100% agree with mk. Can only play one game at a time. Ill only celebrate IF and when we lift the pl trophy but not before. Allot of football left to be played we literally are only half way there and any team can beat anyone on their day. One game at a time and enjoy the ride. YNWA.

13.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 01:40:23
MK, much as we cannot get ahead of ourselves, i think we will win Arsenal, quite comfortably too. Thought we showed them too much respect earlier this season. And with our front 3 clicking, i see that their defence is no match. No doubt Ozil and Aubameyang may cause us some problems. but i trust our midfield and defence to press and mark them out of the game.

Even if we lose the next 2 games we will remain top of the league. Our goal difference is way better than spurs. Even if we come out of the next 2 with 1 point we are still in a dominating position. After those two games there are only two more that worry me and that is utd away and Everton away. If we win the next two games the league is ours. If we get 4 points it's pretty hard for anyone to beat us.

My main concern having looked at our fixtures is the European games. We beat bayern and then it could be anyone but they will be good. I won't be crying if we lose to bayern. Coz as I say apart from our next 2, and utd and blues away, every game looks winnable.

We should beat arsenal, I think we will and if we can get even a point at city (although I believe we can get all 3) then I think the title is ours.

We have one of the best defensive records ever in a top flight team at this stage. It may be the best ever. Us or Chelsea 06. Thing is, no one would call us a defensive team. That is amazing. Something amazing is happening to our team.

Early on we were winning but only by 1 or 2 but now our momentum has built and we are back to 3/ 4 0 each week. We are getting better, I believe our blip has been and gone. The loss to Chelsea in the league Cup, the draw with them and the loss to napoli. We are getting better and our rivals are getting worse.

City had no pressure last year. The only time they did was utd game that they lost. The Wigan game, that they lost and the European games where we thrashed them.

With boxers they say "we know a fighter is good when he keeps winning, we don't know if they're great until they face adversity. Well we have faced plenty and I feel we have come through it. City don't seem to be facing this adversity so well.

City = best team in the league! Don't make me laugh. Up the Kop ynwa. I can barely dare to dream.

27 Dec 2018 02:22:13
The next two games are huge. As MK says, two losses and it’s all square, and they won’t be easy matches.

I do however think we are looking pretty incredible. Our defence has been flipped on its head with VVD and Alison on board, and the overall team balance is so much better than last year. Add to this a lot of our toughest matches in the second half of the season are at Anfield, if we take at least one win off the next two matches, we have a really good chance this year.

17.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 02:57:17
Well said MK. One game at a time.

18.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 04:34:37
I don't think its arrogant to say "I can't see us losing x-points reat of the season" but it is foolish. Anything can happen in life and football. So just go one game at a time and forget all the permutations in the future. They are irrelevant until they happen.

19.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 09:22:24
Maybe arrogant wasn't the perfect terminology as I meant no offence. So sorry if it was taken the wrong way by anyone.

Over-confident? Dismissive? Foolish? Pick your poison. My point is the same. One game at a time.

20.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 09:24:32
We’ve still got half a season to go chaps, beating arsenal and City respectively will not win us the title. There are so many games left to play, with CL and FA cup fixtures in between. Anything can happen, injuries, suspensions.

Just look at City, they are not the same team without Fernandhino.

21.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 10:26:51
Both arsenal and city are suffering with injuries in areas they really don’t want to be suffering. Arsenal are playing a joke of a backline and city now have no defensive midfielder or left back. Next two games i think we need to turn on the afterburners and give it everything we’ve got, arsenal and city can bag a goal or two at any time, but if we can take advantage of their injuries and stick 3 or 4 past them then it will not matter. It is a fantastic opportunity and it is all in our hands, but i have said that before and be disappointed so i’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed!

22.) 27 Dec 2018
27 Dec 2018 10:27:25
All I can say is it's in our own hands like it was 5 years ago we win our game we win the title. It was the same scenario 5 years ago we win or draw but we didn't and the rest is history. I would love to see them win since their last win in the 80's. I've been waiting awhile so we won't count our chickens and all that sort of stuff. Also I back us and Leeds to win the league at the start of the year so hopefully all goes well. Hope all is well for all the eds and thanks for your tremendous work over the last decade cheers guys.

Agree with MK, January been very bad month for us for the last 10 years, on average we drop 7 points in Jan . I am sure it will be different this year, but let's not get over optimistic, a game at a time.
