Seems likely we will move on Lallana in the summer, and an outsid chance of us letting Milner move on also.

Question is IF this were to happen, would you consider taking Andre Gomes from Barça? Looks a quality player for me and if we could get him for a reasonable fee he'd be a great signing.

This is IF we moved on both Lallana and Milner.

Not for me. He's a small fish who only looks big in an even smaller pond.

{Ed0333's Note - I’m not 100% sure Lalana will survive January

True Ed I could easily see him leave January also. I think Gomes would be a good addition in midfield. Nice mix with Henderson, Keita, Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Gomes with Shaqiri able to play up top as well.

{Ed0333's Note - I wouldn’t be applied to Gomes mate.

The benefits Milner has provided this season are really not easy to measure because they don't come in the form of statistics. But the fact that he can play virtually any position (except GK I assume) makes him an invaluable member of the team. And I really do think his quiet but very competitive, combative on-field leadership has seeped into the other players. I'd still take one more year of Milner before even looking at anybody else. Unless it's a youngster with great potential in a year or two.

Maybe Ed0333, but Gomes would be a backwards step. Wait for Harry Wilson or look to David Brooks. Certainly not Gomes though. He's just about above average, I suppose.

{Ed0333's Note - I can also appreciate you’re point of view mate. But for me it’s Fekir or no one. We buy Fekir and we’ll stroll the league.

Have to agree with you ArAy Milner epitomises the Klopp enthusiasm and work rate like no other player for me . He's been my player of the season so far, his professionalism athleticism and tactical awareness shines through and rubs off on the squad and I'd welcome him being a Liverpool player for the next season at least.

How's Fekir got on this season? I've not followed French football at all in the last few months.

Great result today. Personally think what we are missing is pace from the bench. At 3-0 70th minute today would of been ideal to replace mane or Salah with someone with relatively the same pace. Whether that’s someone like Wilson or Brewster or someone new I think that’s what we are missing if Salah or mane need a rest or get injured.

Ed0333 - I totally agree with you and would love Fekir at the club, it should've been done in the summer and feel for the lad . anyways, I've two questions (first one hyapithetical)

1. Are you aware of the club are lookin at Fekir again, or has that ship sailed?
(Most asked question on this site I know but got to ask! )

2. Do think bringing Fekir, or anyone, in to the club in January would disrupt the groove that the team are in at the moment?
I'm thinking that Keita, Fabinho and even Robbo took a lot of time 'bedding in' and someone like Fekir for instance would potentially stunt Shaq's place in the team?
I guess you could look at it from the other side of the coin and say that it'd push Shaq to higher heights, in terms of competition. I just wanted to know your thoughts really on whether brining someone in right now would be a positive or negative affect in the team?

My preference would be to get deals done for Fekir and Pulisic, and bring Wilson back, for the summer and nothing in January but I'm no doubt wishful thinking!

Anyways, I hope all the eds and Reds have had great Xmases and thank you to the boys for a great performance today to top off a good Xmas!

YNWA.

{Ed0333's Note - I have to be honest mate I’ve heard rumours about Fekir coming but they are all unfortunately unfounded. It would not surprise me if he turned up at Chelsea which would kill me. I’m off the opinion you can never have enough quality players in a group. Look at City they have injuries to De Bruyne, Silva and they replace quality with quality. We have an absolutely golden chance to win the title and contarary to popular opinion I feel we need to sign an attacking player as a contingency. Win the title then worry about if the player we bought was surplus to requirements
