Really impressed again last night with the Reds, and what's most promising is that we are seeing signs of the team starting to play like they were at the end of last season. The tempo is starting to raise and there were instances last night when the interplay between the front 3 was so quick, and all that was missing was the final pass.
In very difficult conditions against a very decent team we showed great maturity and patience. The defence are working so well together they are so tight positionally which you never thought would be possible this time last year. Robertson's energy is phenomenal, Milners experience at right back is perfect for a stand in. and VDD is exceptional, and what a difference a decent Keeper makes.
We for the first time under Klopp have very good options from the bench, substitutions are often made which improves the performance of game, e. g Shaka against United.
I believe we are now seeing the real Jurgen Klopp team, we were complaining about the keeper, he has sorted it. Complained about the defence, he sorted it. Complained about a defensive midfielder and he sorted it. Last year we may have won this game 3 nil or lost 4.3, now we look much more workman like and compact, teams are not breaking through the middle at us like last year, when teams put pressure on us last year we tended to buckle, now we have learned to slow the game down and start to control teams at our tempo. We saw this last night, just before half time we were under the cosh however we came out second half and passed our way back into control.
Our biggest problem will be injuries, if we stay fit we will be there at the end.
Half term summary for Jurgen, good work keep it up. Well Done.
