Know there's been plenty of interest in Harry Wilson recently so I've decided to keep an eye on him, I'm 'lucky' enough that I'm able to attend as many Derby games as I like so I've watched them/ him when I can recently including today during against Notts. Thought you might appreciate a scouting report!

Overall, Harry Wilson has moments of standing out as the most talented player on the pitch, he has a very good eye for a pass and will slide in those 'eye of the needle' passes through 5 or 6 players to the striker and can glide between players with deceptive pace, not to mention he strikes the ball as well as I've seen, great shooting ability!

However, I would say that he does attempt these things Alot, a highlight reel will show great goals and passes but won't show you that he does try and pull of the magnificent probably abit too often when a more sensible option might be available. I would also say that he is a talented offensive player but offers little defensively, he will track back with pace sometimes but doesn't really know how to tackle or position himself correctly and he would never out-muscle anyone!

I would compare him to Shaqiri perhaps, he does have the ability to change a game with wonder goals and assists and he does have moments of getting stuck in but he is the kind of player that you would bring in for a moment of magic to score or assist rather than someone who can contribute all round with pressing and defensive work across a game.

I wonder whether there is space in the lfc squad for him? Offensively he is a dangerous option and maybe the best in his position in the championship but I think he does still need to improve defensively and maybe working with Klopp or a better squad would help him.

Anyway, that's my view on him, I'll try and keep watching when I can and will keep you guys in the loop as I'm sure a lot of lfc fans want to see him in the squad next year.

Interesting, thanks for sharing mate. I haven't watched him play a full game this season yet. Fingers crossed for the lad.

Cheers George! Haven't watched him play a full 90 and as you say highlight reels can be very deceptive. He's one I would love to make the step up to full team but needs to keep improving if he is to do so by the sounds of things.

Thanks George, as someone said yesterday, it's difficult to fully appreciate a game on TV and certainly not over a highlight reel on youtube. Going to the game and sharing with us is great insight.

Sounds to me like he will get there if given the opportunities. That’s going to be the difficult thing at LFC.

Great post George.

I watched derby Forrest last night to see him play.

Imo he went hiding in the game. He never went looking for the ball and his overall play does not get him on our bench. He was average and should have been dubbed. And I'm not being harsh. His defensive work was weak at best.

He had a great volley but that was all.

As much as I would love him to make it at liverpool, based on last night he has no chance.

Put it as other way. We got ox to come back.
