Changed whole back 4,rested sterling and aguero whilst their player of last season KDB is injured . Still strolling in all their games . this is what Liverpool are up against this absolute juggernaut.

Very nearly threw it away though. This is not over, even City will drop points and we have to be there when they do.

It’s going to take 100 points to win the league this year.
Ridiculous.

*in excess of 100 points* even.

Either ourselves or City are going to obliterate the record for most points scored by a runner up in the PL this season.

Arsenal or Chelsea could set a record for 3rd too.

Yes Juicer, but remember Klopp still has to win the league this season or else he’s a complete failure and should go back to Germany with his tail firmly between his legs.

{Ed025's Note - love it mate..

OP IMO, I disagree. If people call that strolling thru a game then you prolly want to rethink what that word actually means. Our 4-0 win over WH on the opening day, was a stroll cos we didn't have to break a sweat really. That was not the case here, I'm sorry.

IMO, Watford actually worse than they did against us and created more chances against City than they did against us. City were very casual in their play and lacked any type of intensity and maybe the changes may have had something to do with that. The openings were there for Watford to exploit but simply lacked the quality to punish them on the counter.

There is a reason Pep was losing whatever hair he had left on his head with City's wastefulness up top, in possession and lack of energy. Watford could easily have gotten a point at the end not cos they were brilliant BUT cos City were frankly, disinterested. They had better be up for it vs Chealsea otherwise they have another thing coming.

Now will they win the PL regardless? Prolly. Do we need 100 points to win at least? Perhaps but let's not make them out like what they were not at least in this game cos they did not "stroll" it by any means, IMO.

City different class In my eyes. Their depth in the front 3 is incredible. Only player they may miss is of Fernandinho picked up a knock, as I don’t see another similar type player. Doubt it will affect them though!

Klopps a gonner in my opinion. Only way he stays is if we win something. Just can't see us getting any silverware.

Klopp’s going nowhere regardless of what happens because sensible people are running the club. Which superstar DJ is going to get a better tune out of this bunch, may I ask?

{Ed0333's Note - Matador!

Look how far the club has come since Klopp joined - we went from being hammered by Stoke to having played 3 cup finals and now second place in the league. A win is certainly going to happen eventually, and anyone that thinks he should be fired even if he doesn’t win a trophy this year is nuts.

Measuring success by continuous improvement of the team is a far better route to long term succes. as Man Utd found out by showing patience with Fergie. By comparison Mourinho won cups when he first joined Man Utd but look where they are now.

Klopp’s reached second place and won zero trophies just the same as Brendon Rogers and he got the flick. I like Klopps personality and the swashbuckling football he often has us playing but, if success is judged on trophies alone, he hasn't improved us.
Id hate to see Klopp go and can't think of anyone to replace him either. he's probably our very best shot right now but im hoping he can go one better than his predecessor this season and bring home some silverware.

Red lorry i was just about to post similar to in defence of my previous statement.

{Ed001's Note - it is not a defence as it ignores the fact that Rodgers was taking the club backwards when he got booted, he never got booted with the team in second place or in contention in the Champions League.}

Well I’ve read some ridiculous stuff in my time but wow. Walter out of curiosity, is Christmas your worst time of year? Because you’re playing the grinch really well!

05 Dec 2018 06:33:20
Klopps the best man for the job and that's as simple as it gets for me. Look at the team we have now compared to what we had with Rodgers, look at how we're playing, it's a no brainer. Walter, you want rid of Klopp, who would you replace him with?

15.) 05 Dec 2018
04 Dec 2018 23:29:42
Just checked and Leicester won the league with 81 points.
Sake.
City have Everton at home in a couple of weeks, you couldn’t have a word with your man Jordan, Ed025, get him to make a worldy in the last minute to give the Blues an unlikely 3 points. Just for your old muckers on Liverpool Banter, it being Christmas and that?

{Ed025's Note - i think we will give them a good game juicer but they are a really good side mate, if we do get a result though it will be for everton and not a goodwill gesture for our noisy neighbours im afraid, christmas is a humbug when it comes to football my friend.. :)

Walter would replace Klopp with arsene of course. It’s all getting a bit old.

{Ed025's Note - i agree TJ..

What I liked about Everton was that they were not afraid to try and play and didn't just try to keep 10 men behind the ball with one player up top hoping to nick a goal from somewhere.
They will play the same way against City as they did against us, so that puts them in with a chance of at least getting something from the game.
It's not like some other teams that seem to turn up and try to keep the goals against down to as little as possible.
It should be a good game.

That is crazy talk to even consider sacking Klopp, what have we all been banging on about the last few years, we want to be consistently competitive and challenging to trophies. Currently that is what we are achieving, we are soo lucky to be in the position we are.

I hate this expectation of glory and the people that believe that the 80s glory years are something that can happen again, the league is changed and there are a lot more competitive teams.

Klopp is doing a good job. FACT!

19.) 05 Dec 2018
05 Dec 2018 13:05:15
Lol I can’t believe people are comparing Rodgers with Klopp cos he hasn’t won anything. Klopp has got us to 3 finals and finished twice in the top 4 and is on course to do so again we don’t have a right to win anything but we need to be challenging. We now are! Rodgers finished once in the top 4, no finals and was sacked when languishing in 8th looking like man utd do right now- in need of a miracle. Short memories people. Careful what you wish for. There are plenty of top clubs that would take Klopp if we think he’s that dispensable. Can you say the same about Rodgers? Look at UTD, struggling with one of the worlds best coaches.

We can’t control what City do so there is no point worrying about it. All we can do is get as many points as possible and see where we end up at the end of the season.

05 Dec 2018 18:19:37
Walter klopp might not win any silverware but will not be sacked. he might leave the job by himself as he has not achieved what he wanted with LFC he is that kind of a guy.
the bigger problem we as a club will have is who to replace Klopp.
Emery or Sarri would have been my choice but that will not happens.
we can get the best manager from scottish league to replace him may be.

For the poster asking about xmas i loath xmas. Absolutely hate it. I do it for my kids.
It has lost all meaning and its just about big business making money.
No idea who to replace klopp with. Hopefully a manager that can win something though. What about the Bournemouth manager?

Walter and RedLorry, did BR make a CL, EL and EFL final while with us? Did he win anything with us or even get as close as Klopp has gotten us? BR was the only manager I know who actually make us weaker after he himself, bottled the PL that was there for the taking. I see you missed all of that. How convenient. Comparing Klopp to BR is like comparing Lampard with Iniesta cos they both scored 20 goals in a season.

BR can win a thousand trophies at that feckless Scottish PL he coaches at (He is so bad that a rookie Steven Gerrard is about to embarrass him this season) YET he will not equal what Klopp has achieved in his career. Those are the facts and NO, he is not getting sacked cos the owners are not that dumb. If Klopp can't get to where he wants us to be, he will leave on his own like he did with BVB after giving them back their dignity.
