Don't know what's up with bobby. he's really struggling this season. maybe needs a break for one or two games. not just for his goal yesterday but origi looked like he had something to prove when he came on and looked good. what's the thoughts on starting with him salah and mane as front 3 midweek. just a thought 👍👍.

Bobby has always been impressive when pressing and harrying defenders, w/ he's new role he looks lost and not effective.

If klopp continues playing this conservative slow possession style then will need a proper striker.

Think origi can be used even as target man if needed coz he's a good header of a ball and with our full backs over-lapping that can be effective against stubborn/ narrow defences .

He looked off the pace in the second half against Everton, but I wouldn't say that's a reflection of his performances throughout the season. None of the front three have hit the heights of last year, but he's still been brilliant at times.

It feels that more and more fans judge players on there last game and not much else. Resting Firmino, by playing Salah up front and Shaqiri on the right, maybe. Dropping Firmino for Origi? jesus, I know he got the goal but he hardly warrants a start after 10min of football.

{Ed025's Note - has bobby been brilliant at times this season eamon??, you have a better memory than me mate if he has..

For a start, just the other week against Watford he was very good. In terms of stand out performances, Tottenham is the one that comes to mind.

I'm all for criticism, but it feels like after every bad game fans are calling for a player to be dropped or replaced. At the same time, a player can come on for 10min, score off a goalies error and suddenly they should be a starter.

Ed25, Bobby was great vs Spurs, Red Star, Brighton, LC where he scored, scored the winner off the bench vs PSG (the goal that is currently keeping us alive in the CL right now), Watford (involved in all three goals scoring one) and that is just off the top of my head.

Don't know why you seem so bitter about Bobbie, mate? He is having a lean spell due to his change of position and that is a fact BUT the constant slaughtering of him of late, is not like you, man. What's up with that, man. As my mum always asked, "Did you see Bobbie in your dreams or something"?

{Ed025's Note - it maybe because he was outstanding last term red wolf but he is not the same player mate, he is not getting involved enough and that bright white grin that was like an upright piano has gone too, i have nothing against the guy but if you want me to tell you how brilliant he has been you might be waiting quite a while..

Ed25, I never said he has been brilliant all season. He has been in some games but not as much as he was last season and I have given the reasons for it as I see it. I don't expect anyone to pat him on the back when he plays poorly. I do expect people to not go overboard with the personal attacks and OTT insults as if we have all forgotten how much of a brilliant footballer he is, come hell or high water esp. if they know what the context is (new position and all) and how that could be affecting him. " Form is temporary. Class is permanent". That is Bobbie through and through and he has proven that. Cheers, man.

{Ed025's Note - im a big fan of his brover, but we cant just brush under the carpet how ineffective he has been this season mate, now whether thats because of loss of form or not adapting to a new position i dont know, but thats not the smiling crafty silky guy we seen last year mate..peace..

In season 1980/ 81, King Kenny went from November to the end of the season without scoring a single goal in the league. At the start of the following season 1981/ 82 the King went a further 9 league games without scoring a single goal. He ended his ELEVEN MONTH goal scoring drought in October 1982. If sites like this had been around in the late 1980s, no doubt some posters would have been labelling our greatest player ever as ‘not good enough for Liverpool’ and calling for him to be dropped.
Bobby is bang out of form but he is sheer class and must stay in the team.

Well said Wirral Wonder, great example. Had no idea Kenny went so long without a goal at one point.

Bobbies my favourite favourite player bar none, and no he's not ripping up trees at the mo but it could be argued he's now playing the fekir role and is now a AM not a striker, so we now have two AMs (shax) and two strikers and we're 1 goal down on last season, its all gravy enjoy the ride.
