Ed 025 wilder vs fury you watching mate?

{Ed025's Note - i certainly will be mate, not a fan of either though hailstones, im a bit of a purist when it comes to boxing and these 2 are just bar room brawlers, give me a pugilist any day..

Fury isn’t a brawler Ed, he’s no Muhammad Ali but he can box a bit for a heavyweight unlike Wilder and AJ etc.

{Ed025's Note - not for me den thrashes about a lot and exceedingly clumsy, AJ is a proper boxer imo mate and takes both of them to school''

Very excited for the fight. Neither is particularly likeable, but its rare to see fights like these with how protected boxers are. I personally wouldn't call Fury clumsy or a brawler, he's highly skilled on his day.

I think the fight may have come too soon for Fury, but its still an extremely difficult fight to call. Look forwards to the winner taking on AJ.

have to agree with ed here. AJ more of a boxer than fury and wilder together.

If deontay doesn’t knock him out, fury can win it imo. I think if fury wins, the aj V fury fight would be the biggest British boxing event ever. Reason enough to want fury to win. Still not sure if fury isn’t still a total prat. He’s certainly better behaved than he was now that he’s clean again and off hedgehog sandwiches.

{Ed025's Note - im 100% sure hes a prat mate..

Agreed Ed, AJ would rip his head off.

{Ed025's Note - for me as well salah..

I'll have to disagree with you there ed025 mate. Fury is by far the best technical boxer in the heavyweight division. AJ is just brute force with a good chin and is just a cashcow and a promoters dream here in the UK. Wilder is awful but has power. Fury completely schooled Klitschko and nullified him throughout the 12 rounds whereas Klitschko could have stopped AJ if he didn't take his foot off the gas.

Fury has been out for the past couple of years so will no doubt have ring rust and if that doesn't hinder him and he wins tonight and then wins the rematch he'll have shaken the ring rust and be well capable of beating AJ.

{Ed025's Note - the biggest thing that hinders fury is his brain irish, he got in klitchko,s head and he was also on a downward spiral imo mate..

It's his brain that is his biggest asset mate as he has the best boxing brain of the three big heavyweights.

hope fury win s tonight, be massive to have the four major belts in the uk! Although it would ruin the chance of AJ wilder, as wilder would want his rematch before he went after AJ.

For me Fury has the advantage on reach, height, weight and skill. It’s not that I think Wilder is a mug, he won Olympic bronze after only 3 years boxing, but it’s his devastating power and Fury’s time away that make this fight a close call, Wilder comes a close second in all other areas. However, they’re massive factors and I still think it’s a 50/ 50 shout.

If Fury didn't have the 2 years of inactivity, he'd have cleaned out the entire HW division easily. He'd have made AJ look silly in my opinion back then, but we'll see tonight if he's still capable of reaching the levels he did vs Klitschko.

There’s so much hype about AJ because he’s British and possesses immense power but he is not a good technical boxer, his footwork is poor although improving. Fury at his best is elusive, rolls punches minimising there impact and has good speed for an 18.5st man. He doesn’t have the one punch power of wilder and AJ so they will always be dangerous coupled with the fact that wilder is so unorthodox it will come down to wether or not he can land a shot on him. If Wilder lands a bomb it’s lights out if he doesn’t Fury wins on points. I think Fury vs AJ is the same scenario, AJ vs Wilder would be the more entertaining fight as it would be the 2 biggest punchers in the world with limited ability slugging it out.

{Ed025's Note - your not related to fury are you den? :)...i think he is bloody awful mate..

Lol i've followed boxing since I was 5 years old, Fury is very underrated, quick feet for a big man, good hand speed, hell of a reach, and never been beat, he might appear a bit of a clown but if you want a circus act watch Wilders fights,
Hes a proper boxer Fury whether you like him or not, and he's weighed in about 3 stone heavier than Wilder, leaning on him all night will take its toll I reckon, Fury to win on points or retire him on his stool.

{Ed025's Note - roll on tonight then midland..

Fury is easily the best tactical heavyweight around.

The art of boxing is to hit without being hit and that is what Fury is good at. He’s a spoiler, he won’t stand in front of his opponent waiting to get hit, he’ll move and throw his arms in the way. Just like he frustrated Klitschko I think he’ll do the same to Wilder. However, if Wilder catches him, he’ll take him out.

Midland u might be right in furys record having a 0 in the deafeats column but make no mistake lad he got school of McDermott and should never of won that fight and got put on his arse of Cunningham fury is a terrible boxer with a big mouth and tonight will prove it when he gets knockout aj is miles above that clown the only thing he has is he gets into people's minds.

{Ed025's Note - im with you hendo..

Ed025 you no what a cannit understand mate wlad vs fury arguably goes down as the worst fight in history, where as the wlad vs aj goes down as one of the best. I can understand we have different opinions and different favourites but to compare 2 contests is not how it works, fact it's ludicrous. Fury says he's in the best shape and feels better than he ever has before but a can already see his lovers making excuses for him when the bum gets nailed tonight.
A hope he does win so all his lovers can say he is back to his best, and he goes against aj where he will definitely get smashed and nobody can have an excuse when it happens.

{Ed025's Note - i never want to see fury win a fight hendo even though i think your right about AJ kicking his arse, the thing is though that i dont want wilder to win either mate...well maybe thats not true as i have backed wilder to stop tyson fraudy in the 5th.. :)

Good shout ed025 a think it's over inside 6 fingers crossed the bookies are cashing u up in morning mate.

{Ed025's Note - cheers mate..

I think Fury's ability gets somewhat confused with his personality and his antics because, from a purely boxing perspective, he is very, very good. Very quick for a heavyweight, technically superb, a good boxing brain - the lad is very talented and made Klitschko look average; whereas against AJ Klitschko looked like a machine (and it he was a few years younger may well have lasted to win that fight) . Fury is good and I hope he wins - Wilder is just a swinger, haven't really seen him box anybody of note but he does have that raw punching power. Fight might have come too early for Fury but I hope he puts on a masterclass - he at least seems to be in the right state of mind and focused which is something, in pretty much every one of his poorer fights (Cunningham et al), he lacked.

What a joke that decision was. How ANYONE could have given the fight to Wilder is beyond me. I know he got the 2 knock downs in the 9th and 12th respectively but other then them 2 knock downs he did NOTHING. Fury came back firing in both the 9th and 12th after hitting the canvas. The rematch HAD to happen now. What I will say thou is it was nice to see both men to show mutual respect to each other after the fight. But come on a split decision draw never. And this is why I now don't watch much boxing. It is corrupt to the core. The money men was never going to give Fury the fight as the rematch was worth far to much. And if he had won then the AJ fight would have broke ppv records.
