Today's game was the perfect example of why we're a very serious title contender. We kept plugging away at a team that was playing with several buses parked in front of their goal. Sometimes 8 players in the back line (seriously, I counted it once) . We were very patient and constantly probing, constantly searching for an opening without taking any risks. Keeping possesion and control of the ball, throughout the game. And we showed why teams will always fear us, because one small mistake and we're on the counterattack with that devastating speed and finishing execution. We have that danger from set pieces (Shaqiri and TAA) that Coutinho always provided, too.

I also want to point out what a beast that Doucoure is. In that one particular one on one with Fabinho, he outran him and outmuscled him and then did the same to a couple of others. I must say I am a bit disapointed with Hendo, though. I expect the Captain to show poise, calm and self-control at all times. It doesn't matter that he probably is experiencing a lot of anxiety due to various injuries over the past couple of years and can't seem to put together a string of amazing games. But I still expect the Captain to keep it together at all times, and not get sent off. I'm sure he would want to play the derby; now he can't.

Im also dissapointed at hendo. At the other end Alisson was trying to calm everyone. he should have stayed calm. oh well we can let naby have the game at derby i guess.

To be fair to Hendo, he's been sent off what, twice in 6 years? Gerrard got sent off twice a season and people just praised his aggression and commitment.

He should know better but it's his first red card since 2014 so I'm not going to get on his back for a couple of soft bookings.

And they were both soft bookings. But it was John Moss refereeing, so he was probably still down the other end of the pitch when they happened.

Last time Hendo was sent off it cost us a league title apparently.

It will be frustration over his stop start season.

MK you're talking nonsense. We all should be annoyed at him for getting sent off, he lost his head in that 10 minute period before seeing red. Actually bit annoyed that klopp didn't take him off, he was a red card waiting to happen. His reds weren't for crunching tackles, they were both unnecessary, the second especially, it was petulance simple as.

Does it matter? Players get sent off it happens. The main thing is in years gone by we’d have capitulated at that point, conceded and probably conceded again. Today we even stepped it up after the sending off.
We are a different team these days.

Actually Klopp said in his post match conference that Fabinho was being readied to replace Henderson after the 1st yellow. Just didn't happen quickly enough.

Spot on, OP. That was the exact feeling I got from the game. We simply wore Watford down cos they were chasing us around all game long with Bobbie dragging their mid's out of position to allow the front three to run into. We kept the ball well, kept moving them around and by around the 55th min, I could see that we were turning the screws on them.

There was a move where Mane hit the post of a Bobbie/ Robbo combination. That play happened cos Hughes, Capou and Success were no longer tracking back and it allowed gaps out wide for us to run into. How did the first goal happen? The exact same play. Robbo to Bobbie to Mane (unmarked in the gap out wide) to Salah and GOAL. It was lights out after that cos Watford were gone physically. This is what we should be doing to such teams. Stay patient, keep working hard, have variety in your attacks and the openings will come.

As for Hendo, he should have known better, really. Not withstanding, I thought he had a brilliant game and did what he was asked to do effectively.
