eds01 . what players would you let go come January? And what players would you like to see come in . if any? Just picking you're brain that's all? 👍.

{Ed001's Note - Clyne would go immediately for me. I don't know about ins, not seen anyone that stood out.}

Clyne that’s it? Thought there would be more than that ie migs lallana origi Markovic 👍🤔.

{Ed001's Note - we don't have a back up keeper. Lallana would be better sold when he is back to some kind of form. I would sell Solanke way before Origi and I forgot about Markovic.}

My choice would be:
Sell: Lallana, Clyne, Markovic and Clyne
Loan: Solanke, Curtis Jones, Woodburn
In: Woodburn (recall)

Ed, thanks for the review as always.
Where does Drogba rank on your list of best Premier League strikers?
Personally, I would put him in the truly elite category alongside Suarez and Henry. The likes of Aguero, Rooney and Torres are the next level below, in my opinion.
Drogba was an absolutely fabulous player, world class from age 27 until 34.

{Ed001's Note - at the role he played, he is possibly the best of all time anywhere in the world. In Premier League terms I would have Henry and Bergkamp above him and have him next. Hurts to put him above God but Fowler's injuries robbed him of being the best as he should have been. However I would still have Fowler ahead of any of the rest, particularly Rooney who never lived up to anything like his potential and should not be anywhere near included with Aguero. As for Suarez, he did not perform at a high enough level for long enough to deserve to be considered alongside Henry etc. He was better than the rest for a season, but he spent huge portions of his time banned and was nowhere near that special in his first season. You can't just be considered great when you play well in one season and a half, basically. Kane would have to be considered as a better Prem player than Suarez overall now, though not yet on his level for that one season.}

Good point about Suarez, he missed over half a season in suspensions within a 3-year period for us.
Completely forgot about Bergkamp, unquestionably one of the best.
Drogba was just a menace, I’ve not seen another player consistently perform so well in the most important games, although Gerrard and Ronaldo could be counted on usually.

{Ed001's Note - he used to bully Carragher every time.}

All class players, but Bergkamp was the most complete player imo of them all. I personally think that Aguero is elite level too.

Remember Benitez having a go at Drogba for falling down in the 1st semi final champions league 2008? he definitely didn't fall down in the second leg! bit of a tool there Rafa.

Bloody hell ed, why did you have to mention Bergkamp? I had things to do today but I’m now imagining what he’d be like in our current team. I can’t do two things at once.

{Ed001's Note - Bergkamp was incredible.}

Ed, could I request Drogba be added to the legends profile list?
I’d like to know your thoughts on why he was so good.

{Ed001's Note - added him mate.}

I'd keep Origi and sell/ loan Solanke. Origi showed some superb form about 2-3 years ago. And since he's had no serious injuries since then, I believe he still has it in him. It's all a question of self-confidence and competitive match time. It's all in his head.

Arsenal signed Bergkamp for £8.5m the same transfer window we signed Collymore for £9m. How different it could have been.

Think drogba ruined himself with the diving personally every time I see him I remember him diving and the camera zooming in on his hands (covering his face) then he looked through his fingers to see if he got the foul.

No Shearer in the list of striking greats Ed? That must be an oversight surely!

{Ed001's Note - not really, he was a great goalscorer but not a great striker, as a great striker can do more than just score goals, they can also create them for themselves and others.}

Drogba and Henry were both just unreal. They were like one man army's occupying entire defences by their very presence. If ever there was an example of not judging a player too early, its didier drogba. Not to mention his fantastic work off the field, the man helped stop a civil war.
