Ed01 sorry if its asked but was wondering about getting James for the number 10 role of Fekir. your thoughts on it? I think he willl fit it?

Why don’t you go and buy Fekir instead Liverbird. He is still available and probably on the same price as James! He is a player we scouted and messed up!
And are you really confident about other midfielders? City are on the verge of signing a truly special player.

Harry, Fekir has dodgy knees so that's a NO for me so I'm cool with the club deciding to step back even tho, I rate him highly.

Also, I'm cool with not signing him cos he's not the only one who can play the no. 10 role out there. And as for whoever City are going to sign or don't sign? Don't know and most importantly, don't care.

We have a mass of box to box midfielders at the club, and two holding midfielders in Henderson and Fabinho. Shaqiri, Ox and Keita can all play as a number 10. I don’t see where Fekir would fit in. If we’re going to buy another midfielder, why don’t we actually try and diversify a bit? Milner, Wijnaldum and Lallana could all well be gone by the end of the season, why don’t we try and get a Kante/ Torreria/ Davids type of midfielder, or better yet, a Silva type player who is comfortable with the ball in tight spaces and is always looking for a pass? Fekir is a good player but we already have a lot of players who can do what he does.

There goes Harry again drooling over a player another team has or is going to sign.
And we didn’t mess up with Fekir we pulled out of the deal because we didn’t feel he could medically handle what we expect of him. That’s just being prudent in my book but still we have people having a dig at the club for it.
To answer the OP if Klopp wanted James I think enough of us have been proven wrong on other signings to give Klopp the benefit of the doubt.
I don’t see us being interested though he doesn’t seem our sort of player but then neither did Ox or Shaqiri.
