Morning Ed, I don't know about you/ anybody else but I'd leave Dembele well alone, he's talented no doubt but he sounds like a bit of a divvy to me, we can't be having people like that part of this squad imo. Not that I believe the recent rumours mind because I don't but we'll see I suppose. Shaqiri surprised me incredibly so what do I know lol.

Hope you have a great Friday Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.}

Cheers for that Ed. Lovren what a guy! Would he accept being third choice CB going forward behind Gomez and VVD? Because I wouldn't want him to leave now haha!

{Ed001's Note - he does that bromance with Salah, so he might be happy to stay with his bezzie here.}

Well Ed, I'm glad I aren't the only one mate. People at the moment seem overly excited about him and I've been thinking to myself 'what am I missing here' because in my opinion he's the opposite of what we want or need.

{Ed001's Note - he has ability but he is a spoilt brat who is one of the most selfish players I have ever seen. He will choose a blind alley over an easy pass which gives a team-mate an open goal. Terrible attitude off the pitch as well, forced his way out of Dortmund by playing up and is now doing exactly the same at Barca so they want rid.}

He is a very talented footballer who could go very far in the game but i don't want him at Liverpool. His attitude is rotten. The way he acted to get out of Dortmund was despicable!

Good write up as usual Ed. Enjoy reading it mate every day. Lovren spot on with what he has said about that horrible vile spanish guy! Dembele seems trouble also mate, your not aware of any interest from us are you though ot even if Klopp likes him.

{Ed001's Note - the only thing I am aware of is Barca's desire to get rid. He doesn't fit their system, the coaches are fed up of him and his team-mates are not impressed.}

Selfish on the pitch i can deal with, Shaqiri has shown that can be changed. What i cannot stand for are the antics described in that article. Its a real shame because when i have seen him play he has been incredible at times, you won’t see many players as two footed. But it is clear it has all gone to his head and we should stay well clear despite his talent, i’m struggling to think of anyone who hasn’t criticised his attitude. The days of us putting up with the likes of Carroll, Adam and Ruddock are over. We have a humble, likeable squad of graftng Ribena drinkers and that is the way i’d like it to stay. Throwing in a different sort of personality to spice things up can be beneficial, not however when that personality is an entitled, troublemaking brat.

Cheers mate.

{Ed001's Note - the reason the stories of Liverpool interest came about recently are purely because some journo or other asked Klopp if he wanted to sign Dembele because Barca had made him available. Klopp replied something along the lines of if he is available then I would be interested. But it was basically a throwaway comment and it wasn't revealing anything, just looked like he was teasing the journo to be honest.}

His style would fit ours, no doubt about that.
I don’t know about all the other stuff though.
Are Arsenal keen?

{Ed001's Note - how would his style fit us? Head down running, running, running with the ball until he loses it would not fit us at all.}

Morning ed, Cheers for that mate, I know I shouldn’t laugh but Lovren’s msg to that scumbag really did tickle me. Any other player, I’d be disappointed but I despise Ramos and don’t think he gets nearly enough kicks on the pitch. I dunno, maybe if all players could just come together under one banner and lynch him every match that might bring a balance to the world. Mot a full lynching mind, just enough to wipe the smug grin off his face. He could just go and rap about it. Have a good day everyone.

Agree to disagree Ed.
What happens when Salah or Mane aren’t available?
I think he’d be a quality addition to the squad, a step above our current options to the front three.
Barca still owe us £60 -+ million too?

{Ed001's Note - what is there to agree to disagree about? It is not an opinion, it is fact that he does not suit our style. He does not pass or cross, he just runs head down with the ball until he gives it away.

You clearly haven't watched him play or know anything about him so are arguing out of pure ignorance. This isn't a Shaqiri thing, where everyone knew he had quality but were worried about his application and attitude. Dembele won't pass, won't cross, when he does they are terrible anyway. He doesn't track back and refuses to work back at all. All he does is pick up the ball and run with it until he loses it, then sulk until he gets given it again. That is not a good option or useful and not a step up over current options either.

Barca would need to pay us another 60m just to ensure we cover his wages, which are higher than any of our players. Oh and he won't turn up to training unless he is guaranteed to be a first choice player at the weekend.}

What happens when Mane or Salah aren't available? Well, you go out and get a player who can play both positions, suits our style of play, knows how to pass, and plays for the team and not himself. And for this kind of money there are many around. Just because a player is coming from Dortmund and Barcelona does not mean he will fit in. We have one coming from Stoke doing okay so far.

{Ed001's Note - Shaqiri, Keita and soon Ox can cover those positions at need. Plus Origi, Solanke and some players out on loan.}

Do you have an idea of how soon fpr Ox ed mate. Feb/ March maybe?

{Ed001's Note - he will probably be able to play in the run in, but I would not expect him to get anywhere near his best for a year or so.}

Always appreciate the articles but this was a particularly good one. Busy news day.

Its great having Ranieri back in the league, such a likeable guy. Was worried big Sam would rear his ugly head. Nice gesture by Roma. Love Lovren, saw an interview with him the other day and its so refreshing to have a player actually give his honest opinion about things, they're all so media trained. I had no idea Dembele had such attitude problems, what an idiot. Can't imagine who'd be interested in him? PSG maybe?

What do you make of the Prem introducing VAR?
