Ed001 mentioned that Trent could move further forward at some point. Until this point, I think young Trent is doing a decent job at full back.

I look at what City paid for Mendy £52m albeit the other flank ( and I’ve seen him live ) and I see no difference. Apart from the fact that Trent is a local lad.

{Ed001's Note - Trent can control the ball and pass, that is a huge difference from Mendy.}

I think we will move Trent further forward when Milner, Wijnaldum and Lallana begin to move on and when we can find a good quality right back as a replacement. Despite his age he is still one of the better fullbacks in world football.

Just gone 20 and already 60 games played for the club and played in a World cup while still a teenager! Already a goal scorer for club and country, i hope Trent stays at right full for the rest of his career. would lock down that position for the next decade.

Totally agree big emre, however as soon as the media cop just how good he is and that he can play as a midfielder, so will begin the push for him to become a perfectly acceptable midfielder when he could become a top top full back. Maybe I’m just bitter. Still though, great if the lad keeps trying to improve his game.
