Hey Salah,

Everything I’ve read has suggested the previously good news of Mr Cox waking up from his coma is very grim. He needs completely assisted living for his entire lifetime and will not return home for some time. He also can no longer speak. I wonder if he has been damaged mentally.

It is truly terrifying to think someone is capable of doing this to a man over a silly football game. There is also little news on who was responsible, which is even more of a punch in the face.

I can only imagine the pain that family has been through, and wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I hope they catch the **** who did it. he will deserve whatever he gets and then some. It is stories like this that make us realize that football is just a game, and it’s people like this who truly deserve the support of our great club and it’s motto.

YNWA Sean.

Thanks Tj, much appreciated for the update mate but so sad to hear it! I had no idea it was THAT bad, bloody hell! the poor fella goes out to a football game and has his life absolutely destroyed by thugs, it's just horrific.

So many people have to take things too far, why take a bloody game so seriously? it's just pathetic! it's meant to be about entertainment and then you go and hear stuff like this, it's barbaric.

Nice gesture by Roma, but terrible news about Sean.

I thought two thugs had been arrested and charged, I could be wrong though.

They were arrested. One was found innocent and another was given like a 2 year sentence. They think the man responsible is still out and about, and are hoping to extradict him, or something along those lines. This is all according to what I’ve read. Could be hogwash.

They are trying to extradite him at the moment. Sean will improve a great deal more with the right treatment but he’ll never be what he was. At the moment his recovery phase is dreadfully slow hence why the family started the funding. It’s decent what Roma did but it’s still well short of what the man will need to start making progress.

Am I wrong to think Roma could have gone that extra step and covered the costs of his treatment? Should Liverpool be doing something more? I think the lad who was given 2 years was hitting people with a belt. He wasn’t the one who struck Sean, just one of the group.
