Who else is not miffed we missed out on Mendy? I mean he is always out injured and still a child on social media who will take to Twitter to respond to Trumps critism of his country president. Reminds me of one Enrique. At least Robbo has been ever present and improving.

My mate at work is a big Man City fan, and it's tough to find things to goad him about at the moment, but Mendy's poor value for money and paying Raheem Sterling £300,000 a week generally gives me the win.

In my opinion, Mendy is totally over-rated and at £52 million grossly over-priced. He is also injury prone - the poor lad has had another knee operation this week which will keep him out for several weeks. Give me Robbo anytime.

To be fair to Mendy his injury has had a huge impact. He's still quick, but he was absolutely rapid before which helped with a lot of his weaknesses. I was gutted when we originally missed out on him and given the choice back then, I'd be surprised if anyone picked Robertson over him.

Hindsight is 20/ 20 and sometimes luck goes you're way. Much prefer Robbo.

I never saw him before he went to city but I watch him a few weeks ago and thought he was a massive weak link in that city side.
Can’t defend for toffee, doesn’t even know where he should be on the pitch.
Even when he gets forward he just smashes it into the box whether there’s players there or not.
He reminds me of Sissoko at Spurs. Good athlete but not much football intelligence.
