{Ed001's Note - welcome mate you too.}

Morning Ed, cheers for that. I still can't believe this Scudamore payment, how warped are the teams views that they will pay this but money for grassroots has to be clawed out of them. Are they all likely to pay up or can they make an alternate donation to charity or something?

{Ed001's Note - it looks like they will all pay to be honest. Madness.}

BBC Sport reporting that the “rock, paper, scissors” was carried out at kick-off Ed, not to decide the tie?
A coin flip is 50 / 50 whereas rock, paper, scissors is 1 / 3?
I wouldn’t like to call that to decide a match result!

{Ed001's Note - then they have changed their report as they had it as to decide the result of the match first thing this morning. As did a few other news outlets. I did think it was bizarre that they were deciding a result on that and not just settling for a draw.}

That wouldn’t surprise me, BBC are poor these days.
I’ve seen reports on there with the “would of / could of” grammar.
Grrr I must be getting old because that winds me right up, haha.

{Ed001's Note - agreed, they must have done what I did and read multiple reports saying the same thing and assumed. I thought the BBC must be safe to accept. Lesson learnt, not even the BBC are safe to trust!}

TBH I have been finding the live text they do on some matches unbelievably biased based on the authors aleigances, it used to be much more black and white without opinions - and much better.

{Ed001's Note - I think I am just going to avoid them from now on.}

And their weather forecasts are rubbish these days too haha.

{Ed001's Note - these days? Have they not always been rubbish?}

Hey Ed001, thank you great read as always! Re the BBC Sport story, I did read it last night on the website and it said then it was to decide the kick off, and again this morning. They may have flip-flopped overnight, as I know you're a few hours ahead of us, Tris.

I actually can't see too much of a problem with rock/ paper/ scissors to decide the kick off (and it gave me a chuckle! ) . Its entirely based on chance, similar to the coin toss, and in fact introduces a bit of skill/ psyching out if it goes to more than one round!

{Ed001's Note - they do change articles quite a bit I have noticed. I used to save articles during the day as I went, but then I would open them in the morning and it was completely different from the one I had read and thought about using. Suddenly it was a much less interesting story when they actually fact checked. However at least they fact check I suppose, which is a level above newspapers and other click bait.}

Great read as usual Ed001.And I'd watch more football if they introduced "rock, paper, scissors" as a decider for multiple types of decision. lol. Imagine signing someone because they were good at rock, paper, scissors. lol.

{Ed001's Note - that would be great. If there is an argument over whose throw in it should be, a quick game would settle it.}

Cheers for that ed, fair play to snodgrass. On the other end, shocking news about scudamore, I hope he gets back on his feet and brilliant to hear that his plight is not going unnoticed.

Cheers Ed001, the Madrid youth coach role must be the most sought after in football for first time coaches. Seeing as you're immediately in with a chance of coaching the first team regardless of your experience or qualifications. Might get a lucky run of form and immediately be considered a "top coach" ala Zidane.

Joe Cole seems like a nice lad but why Liverpool ever signed him is beyond me. I understand his selling point was that he was 'incredibly skilful', but I can hardly remember him pulling off any. Only flash of brilliance I can remember from him is that world cup goal.
