Just wanted to put something in perspective, our start to the season would mean we would be top in 18 of the last 26 seasons!

We have had an amazing start, the difference being City have an unbelievable team right now with immense squad depth.

All we can do is concentrate on ourselves, support the team all the way and see where we are in May. We may have the odd blip (Red Star) but we have come so far since the days of Hodgson (David Wash N go and Konchesky anyone? )

This is probably the best squad I’ve seen Liverpool assemble and the standards that have been set are sky high. Seeing people disappointed because we beat Fulham by only 2 goals, may I remind some people that a few seasons ago this was the type of game we were drawing.

Lets enjoy the ride and see what we can achieve at the business end of the season.

I do remind myself of past teams. Kyriakgos etc lol. Good servants we’ve had in the past but this is probably the most complete team. Rafa only had a great 11 in 2009.

Great post, OP. No need to go back that far. I remember when we were pummeled by CL giants Stoke City 6-1 arguably (the most embarrassing defeat I have ever seen as a Liverpool fan) and how I wanted to pull my hair out and had I been the owner, BR would have gotten his walking papers on the spot. I like many of us, do not have a short memory and that helps me keep things in perspective hence, I never lose my head cos we did not beat Fulham 5-0, as if football was that easy. Up Da Pool!

Well said WY. The fact is you don’t need to win 5-0. 2-0 will always in every circumstance give you the same amount of points.
Let City wear themselves out trying to rack up cricket scores while we are scoring 2 then putting our comfy slippers on. It’s a long season to go all out like they are until May.
You just have to be there come March and peak at the right time.
Something tells me that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
