I continue to be impressed with the pairing of Gomez and VVD. In particular, I'm very happily surprised by VVD's dominance in the air. I feel like he gets a head to every cross into the defensive end. I didn't watch much of him prior to his time in Liverpool, so this has been something I've enjoyed seeing since he joined.

Also, the poise and confidence of Gomez seems to grow with every start. He's been terrific so far this season.

I prefer Gomez to Lovren. VVD is a monster. I thought Gini was too deep today I wasn't surprised to see him hooked off, I thought maybe naby would've got more of a run out though. Hopefully he stays in Liverpool and gets some training in next week.

I think Gini and Milner need a rest to be honest. Theymve done well this season so far, but other players are coming into their own now. Shaqiri and Fabinho have been excellent when they have played, we have clearly missed Henderson, and Keita has so much untapped potential. There isn’t an awful lot klopp can do about Mane and Firmino under performing but he can at least keep our midfield fresh and reward the players who are contributing positively when they are given the chance.

yeah would of been nice to see naby get a few more minutes in that game as the second half was a stroll.
