It's was still a good point yesterday, especially as we know we can play much better. Need to get Bobbie more involved and yesterday for me showed how much we missed Henderson. He's one of those players that you miss when he's not there and we needed his leadership qualities on the pitch in a big game like that.

Do you believe those leadership qualities would have won us the game or made us play better as a team. They hardly worked against Chelsea (LC) or Napoli. Just curious as I can’t for the life of me remember a game where I thought we won that because of Hendo.

I agree with JK. What would have Henderson done differently. The team doesn’t press and that’s coming from the manager! He is not someone who breaks the line or split any defense! He is no better than Wijnaldum in the holding role. We had 3 CM on the pitch and yet got dominated by one player.
If you say we lack creativity then how does Hendo help 🤔🤔.

{Ed0333's Note - creativity wasn’t the problem yesterday Harry we had plenty of chances/situations to win the game.

He would've given us more control in midfield - a place were we had no control for most of the game. That control could've made the difference.

Comparing other games he played in is neither instructive nor fair - Arsenal aren't Napoli or Chelsea so Henderson's potential to influence the game versus Arsenal is not dependent on his performances against those other teams. Also worth noting that their was a lot of squad players on show versus Chelsea and that NApoli was, to a player, the worst performance of the season by the entire team.

A few wants Shaqiri in the midfield and other than creativity what exactly he should be in the team Ed033 😂😂.

{Ed0333's Note - WTF?? How am I supposed to decipher that post when I have no idea what you wrote?

He would've offered more protection than Fabinho mate and would've broken up the play more. Henderson is also very capable of playing a good long pass as and when needed and is used to the intensity of the league - I suspect Fabinho is still becoming accustomed to it. I'm not saying Henderson is the lord our saviour, I'm saying the game would have been different and that we would of contributed more to the team than Fabinho did - and who knows, that could've been enough to win the game.

Very true Seano and my opinion isn’t just based on those 2 games. But also people can’t say he would have made a difference in a game he never played in. I’ve seen him play numerous times over the seasons in midfields that have been 2nd best on the pitch including Leicester this season. Hendo has only started 5 league games this season and was substituted in 3 of them. Considering we are undefeated In 11 games we are doing pretty well without him considering he is so important. For me our midfield is now our weakest area and that includes with or without Hendo. And when I say weakest I mean by our keeper = potentially world class, VVD = world class which is bringing world class defensive unit performances and our strike force have proven to be world class on more than the odd occasion. Our midfield work hard and play nice passes to each other or the defence.

Yeah I agree. Wasn't fabs Best game nor worst but hendo would have allowed a split second less time on the ball.

Before we are written off, in all fairness we won that game. We scored two viable goals while they scored one. If we miss out on the title by 2 points I will be fuming.

{Ed025's Note - sometimes you get decisions and sometimes you dont robbie, its no use crying over spilled milk so you need to get over that disallowed goal cos it happens in football mate, if you lose the league by 2 points it wont matter as you will probably have had a penalty when it was not one or one against you that was not given, thats just the way the cookie crumbles im afraid..

I know ed025. The reds would likely be on 4 European cups if refs were always right. Doesn't make the fifth any less appreciated.

But with a lot of good teams this year and us starting so well that mane goal seems massive atm.

But you're right though mate, ignore me. The blues looking good. Richarlison was class and I knew gilfy would come good. It doesn't happen very often but I was jealous when you signed him.

{Ed025's Note - we are still miles behind the reds robbie but heading in the right direction i feel, luck whether it be good or bad tends to even itself out over the course of the season mate..

We had a winning formula last year, Klopps tweaked it too much

I suggest move Salah back to the right.
TAA and Salah pass ing of play between them this years has been missing.

Firmino is much better as a number 9 that Salah., let's the defenders mark Firimino rather than Salah
Mane is much better on the left but this year he seems to be drift in the OX role he needs to stop that.
Now the midfield is where i see big issues, we are not conceding mang goals certainly with the CB and Allison being magnificenit, however we seem to be too defence with Winaljdum, and Fabino and Milner.
Milner i believe is ruining our game by his presence on the pitch i don't know what he really offers a sweeper role in defence>
Take him off move shaquiri in in the Play maker role behind firmino and Winajdum owns the midfield when Milner is not there too observe

Stop playing too defensive klopp and get buvac back.

{Ed025's Note - if klopp leaves they might ask you to take over mate?...mind you if they read that load of rubbish i very much doubt it..

One thing Everton haven't got that Liverpool has is pressure the pressure us and the media put on ourselves also what we have achieved in our glorious past just seems too weigh us down. That's nothing against Everton just fact.

{Ed025's Note - its weight of expectation hailstones as its been a while since the title has come to liverpool mate, but that goes with the territory and the character of the squad looks strong so i think you have a decent chance imo..

Heading in the right direction is all us fans can hope for ed025. Richarlison makes team of the week this week for sure.

{Ed025's Note - you would think so robbie mate..

12.) 04 Nov 2018
04 Nov 2018 19:31:28
That's exactly what I meant ed mate the weight of expectation from all angles, people need too understand we ain't won it for 28 years and that brings huge pressure in itself also teams like city, spurs, Chelsea, arsenal, Utd, so strong with upcommers like Everton snapping at the heals the league is relentless.

{Ed025's Note - its never been easy hailstones but this does look the hardest year ever mate, can liverpool do it? yes of course they can but it will take a monumental effort to depose city of that title..

13.) 04 Nov 2018
04 Nov 2018 19:45:05
Look at the pressure on Everton last season having spent alot. it comes with the territory. You're never going to win the league if you can't perform under extreme pressure.

{Ed025's Note - very true robbie mate..
