Ed25, you may think Fab is a lemon BUT for now, he is proving you wrong with his performance so far IMO even tho, he is still bedding into the team, the PL and the city itself. ed25, gomes may do okay against the like of huddersfield etc but as soon as he comes up against a decent team he goes missing lol what did you do against an abysmal UTD? There is a reason Barcelona have been trying to offload him to anyone that will take him for the last year.

Barca tried to use Gomes as a makeweight for coutinho and Pogba, desperate to get rid of him is an understatement.

{Ed001's Note - he is not that good, just looks better in comparison to a reckless headless chicken who can't pass five yards alongside him in Gueye. Decent player like Gomes, but he would not get in any top midfield, which is why he is at Everton and they will only struggle to hold onto him if say West Ham decide they want him....}

Ed025 reminds me of a young Carragher though. He kinda believes that every player at Everton is the best in their position in the league or even for their country. Sadly, no one outside of Goodison shares his view.

Spot on, Ed01 and Sgnwa. I think Ed25 is trying WAY too hard to sell us this idea that Gomes is a good player and that he is better than Fab or Hendo (I don't know who is better, really) whereas, he forgets that some of us have actually seen him play and think he is awful. As for Gueye, they were calling him Baby Kante, lol. What does that nonsense even mean? He is nowhere near Kante's quality. He is a total headless chicken who dives into tackles recklessly and whose passing is pathetically woeful. Ed25 if you are about, you're working too hard to convince us of what we truly don't believe. Chill out, man.

{Ed025's Note - he is having a good season actually aussie but i have to be honest and say that im not a massive fan, last season he was in and out and seemed to perform when he felt like it, the penny may have dropped now i suppose because hes a lot more consistent this year but he will have to do it over a longer period for me to sing his praises mate..

Comparing him with Hendo and Fab is a false narrative cos not sure anyone said either or both were better than him. Ed025 I know Milner isn't a bad player and you don't rate fab but I like the idea of a proper defensive midfielder and shaqiri as attacking midfielder.

Ed25, I did not say you were a fan of Barkley, per se. My point was that Everton fans were bigging him up and frankly, he is poor and my point was not to trust your fans' opinions on players cos reality has proven them wrong. That point was not directed to you directly. Also, I have actually seen Gomes play WAY before he came to Everton and he is decent at best, and I am being nice here.

Unlike you tho, I am not comparing Gomes to any of our midfielders (you are the one doing that for some reason) for now as I am not stupid enuff to claim to sure that Gomes can't succeed in the PL or that Fab will. Only time will tell. Peace, my friend.
