ED1 do you think Ruben Névés could do the role Fekir was being considered for, or is he more defensively minded?

{Ed001's Note - he plays much deeper, he would be a Fabinho alternative if anything.}

I see thanks.

I would bloody love to see the lad at our club but as Ed has said, we have Fabinho so there's no room for him really, he'll end up somewhere big next season no doubt, Wolves is and always was just a stepping stone for him.

I’m in agreement with you Salah. Definitely using wolves as a stepping stone, he’s a class act and I can honestly see him going to city. Definitely wouldn’t say no to Hinckley though.

Neves is the real deal. he strikes a ball with as much precision as Gerrard with the short/ long rage passing of Xabi Alonso. He would be perfect for the DLP/ DM role esp. with a double pivot which he currently plays with a fellow good passer in Moutinho. Alas, I can only dream.

Wolves owners consider Wolves to be big. They have aspirations to be the biggest club in England in a few years. Allusions of grandeur, we will see.

Could possibly be a Wijnaldum replacement though if klopp sticks to playing a double 6?

I think he will stay at wolves and I think they will be a big club. They always have been but I also think they will hit Everton level and realise how hard it is. Mind you look at city. I feel more threatened by wolves than I do by utd at this present moment. Feels good to say that but it's true. Great little player and an impressive team.

I've only seen Neves a few times. From what I've seen I feel he could with our system and style. As other have said and I'm sure ed2 is thinking - "he'd be a good signing to replace Fabinho". lol

Long season and imo between hendo, lallana, milner and to an extent gini too, I would have thought we'll be wanting to replenish the midfield stock over the next season or 2 anyways.

He’s had 10 games in the PL, same for Wolves - let’s see how he’s doing if he’s still in the PL with big club Wolves this time next season.

Wolves certainly aren't getting relegated.

Ron, Ruben Neves was a gem at Porto as well and he was HIGHLY rated way before he came to Wolves and he has only enhanced his reputation for the as you say, 10 games he's played.

We bought Andy Carroll after half a season in the premier league.
I’m sorry but I don’t rate the Portuguese league, bit like paying for PSG in France.

Ron, your post lacks context. First off, the Andy Carroll comparison is just senseless. Neves did not play half a season in Portugal (he played up to two years there) so that comparison lacks any type of context. Also, You may NOT rate a league BUT that does not mean there are NO good players in there. That is just another insane and illogical thing to say.

VVD came from the rubbish Scottish League and so did Stylian Petrov. Kante came from the useless Ligue 1 as did Mendy, Mbappe and a certain Nabil Fekir had we signed him. David Luiz, came from the Portuguese league you claim not to rate. Man, I can keep going but I will just stop there as I don't want to embarrass you with enough examples to fill two pages. Cheers, mate.
