Anybody get a feeling that if we don't win the league this season, it will be 08-09 and 12-13 all overagain. Top players leaving and we have another 5 years of rebuild.
Still can't get how we ended up 2nd then we were better than most teams those seasons still ended 2nd.

Now this season from the beginning even before the season started we have looked good. Probably the best team we have had in a while yep i think this team is a bit better over 08-09 (better bench) . and surely better than 2013.
10 games in haven't lost but we challenge city who are still better. I mean Kudos to them, good football and all, but come on man drop some damn points. :P
Next is arsenal and we have to win, there is no space for a draw there. City might run away with it. i don't think i have seen such a title race ever. Also both city and chelsea did beat arsenal. and that moves us further away from atleast arsenal, 8 point gap.

I understand the skepticism due to out past failings but we need enjoy this and back the team.

We take each game as it comes and always remember where we have come from before klopp came things were stale, he is elevated us too the level we are at so let's not put pressure on ourselves but instead embrace how lucky we are too have our identity back as a genuine quality side and get right behind the team win lose or draw . If it's not good enough we go again and get better, the machine we have created is moving nicely so let's enjoy the ride!

To be honest if we do come up short this season in the title hunt, then we cannot say it’s from lack of trying. In the past we have sold our best players, replaced them with cheap poor signings, lacked ambition in the transfer market and employed people like Hodgson etc. In the last 2-3 seasons with the exception of Coutinho forcing his way out we have employed a world class manager, recruited brilliantly and competed in the market with the big spenders for the top class players and we play some amazing stuff (after all this is an entertainment business) . The current City side is probably one of the best of the premier league era so overtaking them is not going to be an easy feat. However If we do fail to win the title then for me a trophy is a must to keep the current ambitious squad of players and manager happy and let’s be honest the CL is not much easier to win than the league so that then leaves the FA cup. Our current squad is capable of winning any 3 of those trophies this season. Hell they are even capable of winning all 3. But as LFC fans we should also know we are also just as capable of winning none as we are of winning any. I for one know though that it’s going to be one hell of an exciting season to watch.

I know they say that history often it repeats itself but let's not go rolling over and writing off the league just yet!

Lets just enjoy the good times. I know we didn't win in 08/09 or 13/14 but remember how enjoyable it was watching those games? IT was an absolutely incredible time to be a supporter of Liverpool!

There is a long way to go this season and who knows what it may bring. let's just enjoy things one game at a time and hope for the best.

Different manager at the helm. I think if we don’t win it this year, we will win it next, regardless of the players at the club. I think peps man management style will begin to ruffle feathers soon. I still think city aren’t as good as their results have been while I think we can still step up a gear.

We’re currently joint top after 10 games and people are still worrying about our future and writing us off. We are currently going toe to toe with last seasons dominant force, enjoy the ride and let’s see where we end up.

I don't think anyone is running away with it but city and Chelsea do look good. So do arsenal. If not for city's rise I'd say it was a definite but they are worthy adversaries and will be hard to beat. We have the players to do that.

Yes i can see this happening. Mane and Salah for sure. It might even happen if by a miracle we beat city and Arsenal to the title.

Also worth thinking if Klopp would still be around if no silverware is won. The owners haven't been scared to replace a manager previously.

Hah don't know why you do it to you if mate.

I'll just lean on the culture and identity Klopp is building as well as the seemingly strong internal relationships between he and his management team. This includes Michael Edwards and the owners. I think we are building a club that can sustain it's competitiveness. As much as we poke fun at Arsenal, I'd much rather we be competing year in year out than take shots every 4-6 years. always hope for the best.
