Everton caved in, as usual, at Man Utd.
Quite appropriate really in the circumstances.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think thats true juicer, yes we are not the finished article by any means, but for a team in transition i thought we done ok mate..

Ed025, I thought Everton played well, particularly in the first half, and just lacked a cutting edge. I certainly don’t think they ‘caved in’. And that tackle by Gueye on Martial was never a penalty but don’t get me started on Moss as a referee - he is either completely incompetent or something far worse.

{Ed025's Note - yeah moss is poor wirral, i dont want to use him as an excuse though mate, they were the better team on the day i thought..

Agreed ed you are playing better football, attacking and better quality of player and the keeper is amazing a real steal he doesn't believe in letting penalties, excellent distribution an has a real prescence about him . If Bernard scores there u draw or win that game Utd held on in the end .

{Ed025's Note - yeah hailstones the supporters in general are pleased with the progress we are making, a long way to go until we threaten the top 6 of course but i feel if we can get a top goalscorer in come january then we will progress even further, well thats the plan mate..cheers..

Pffft.
Utd won because they dropped that lemon Lukaku, Ed025 😃.

{Ed025's Note - very possibly juicer, they had a more fluid attack without him and i thought martial was excellent, but for me motm was gomes who i thought had a stormer mate and we will do well to hold on to him come the summer..

It was always going to take time ed and also mistakes along the way but slowly but surely Everton are getting it together you have the resources and business clout now that was missing before and the right players are being put together and the dead wood is shifted out couple of seasons Everton will b strong and challenging top 4.

{Ed025's Note - i would love to think so hailstones mate..

Ed25, your lot were actually pretty sound today, mate. Not sure about Richarlison at CF but all in all, you guys did the business BUT just lacked the cutting edge in the final third. Gylfi was poor today and Gana was not all that better. As you said, Gomes was solid.

I just think that had Tosun played up top (he is a natural CF) and not Richarlison, Everton would have had the cutting edge they needed to trouble that bungling CB pair of Smalling and Lindeloff. Keep going, man and stick w/ Silva cos you may have a good one on your hands, mate.

{Ed025's Note - i tend to agree brover richie is wasted as a stopgap CF and needs to play on the left, i would have started with either DCL or tosun myself but im not sure silva trusts either of them yet, we done ok i think without taking the game by the scruff of the neck and a few players under performed i feel but its still miles better than last season, we are on the right road though mate and in another couple of windows time i hope to see us looking to break in to that top 6..

I think your manager got it wrong with the starting 11 today ed. Richarlison is a good player but he looks lost and isolated up top and only began to get involved and effect the game when he dropped deeper. He's not a back to goal kind of player and prefers to take people on. Instantly looked more at home when he was put back in his favoured left wing position.

Tosun isn't anything special but he works hard and seems to Know a thing or two about hitting the back of the net. I'd have started him up top. Also, the sooner you bench Walcott, the better - total headless chicken, he is. Lookman had more of an impact in the little he played in that game than Walcott did in the entirety of the time he was on the pitch, I'd definitely start him over Walcott - I must say, he looks a talented young player. I would mention Bernard but I'm not sure how effective he'd be off the right and richarlison is a better option on the left hand side.

{Ed025's Note - i happen to agree with all of that lemuel, if silva gets the boot i will be proposing you as our new manager mate.. :)

Agreed ed25 Gomes looked pretty decent for you guys.

{Ed025's Note - he looks very tasty para, keeping hold of him after summer may be a problem though mate..

Ed025, I like what I'm seeing in the toffees lately. Am i in the minority that wishes if Liverpool don't win the league the next best thing is Everton winning it? I know I'm living in the past but as a local Fazakerley boy up until aged 18, but I have ever fond memories of going with a mate who had 2 Gladys street season tickets to regular Everton games and only wish the club the utmost success.

Everton have been in transition longer than us and same old crap results against any team of any significance. UTD are appalling yet still came out with a win. Can’t see them finishing in the top 6 anytime soon. There are teams developing far quicker than them with a lot less money spent. I wish they played the likes of UTD like they try and play us - kicking crap out of our players. . at least they might take a few of their players out and get a few reds on the way.

Ed25, Lookman is the ONLY one I would take from Everton, right now. The boy is legit. I saw him at RBL last season (while checking out Naby) and he was brilliant. Scored on his debut over there as well. Why Silva plays Walcott (complete dross of a player) over him, beggars belief.

{Ed025's Note - i think you might take gomes as well brover, you have nothing as good as him at the moment mate well until naby starts performing anyway..
