Hoddle was a brilliant England manager. He had them playing good football, beating good teams and a highly talented squad. The tabloids twisted his Buddhist beliefs and made up that rubbish and he got fired.
Stupid move as I think England would have won something with him. I really do. I wish him all the best.

This might sound a stupid question but did anyone survive the helicopter crash?

Maybe Jose could sign a couple of the Thai kids?

Robbiesline, when Hoddle was England manager he gave an interview to Matt Dickinson of The Times (that rare being, a journalist with integrity) in which he talked about his belief that disabled people and others who suffered misfortune in life were being punished for their sins in a previous life. I make no comment or judgement on Hoddle’s beliefs but a lot of people found them offensive. Following further intense media scrutiny and reporting - during which Hoddle did not deny of back away from what was reported despite the controversy - he was sacked by the FA.
